I have a personal no-vice policy. I believe that a person's greatest asset is their mind, the foundation for their identity, and alcohol or nicotine cosumption will tarnish that. Though I've tried drinking in the past, I can say I will never again have another sip of alcohol or my first puff of smoke. It wasn't worth it then, and to me, it'll never be.
