hi nat, i am just curious to know where you see this r/s you are in, going? why are you still in it if you are not in love..? (you can choose not to answer this if it is zoo personal, i apologize..)
it's not
guess u have to 'feel the waters' past initial attraction / get to know a person better
can't figure out where a relationship will go over night. i mean this guy he ticks a lot of the boxes but not the ones most important to me so i guess ill tell him soon
lol today in psych we discussed the five stages that lead to a break down in a romantic relationship
1) dissatisfaction 2) exposure 3) negotiation 4) resolution 5) termination
feel inclined to go from 1 to 5 -

what have you gotten from your mail exchange? and how do you like them/feel about them
i have gotten two packages, which is really cool, i really like this interaction thing, seems personal, like this other person exists and i know he/she exists and he/she knows i exist, and wants to interact with me
i have gotten a package from charmaine/rotterdam, a mixtape of songs to listen to while we're still under the winter spell, and a package from michael/new york, his chapbook, his name card lol, and a pressboardpress badge yay -
do you like lady gaga, why or why not?
not particularly, but I think her voice is amazing, I find myself singing her songs sometimes, and I think she's interesting to watch (I don't think she's trying to be different or anything, she is just different and embracing it).
if you don't like her, watch these:

Dumbest purchase you've ever made?
17 inch MacBook Pro as a laptop.

Shini you're really the best! I really appreciated your sincerity while dealing with the *Luisa via Roma* thing. I appreciated the fact that you expressed your feelings, rather than saying "It was AMAZING" without thinking it :)
Thank you! I came home with a bit of bitter taste in my mouth so I had to say something I guess... there's more to it but let's just leave it at that...
-
do you mind explaining the phrase "the only way is through" (or sth along that line)
like, shit look there's a thin bridge strapped across the cliff, waterfalls crashing beneath, and an army of cannibals behind you, and you've got a fear of heights, you can't swim, but the only way out is through, so run like a motherfucker
really
no other form of escape is real, avoiding the situation, delaying confrontation of what frightens you, just work at it, because .... "< ~ >" -
what's a good 21st birthday gift for a close friend (girl) with a budget of ~$200?
jewellery, see dannijo or low luv x erin wasson (shopbop.com)
feel increasingly that jewellery is great as presents, wear always & be reminded of someone's love for you
for my birthday eve gave me a necklace and i never take it off. rly rly love it as much as physical reminders of love isn't necessary sometimes in the dark i feel it against my skin and feel better -
i think you are so goddamn cool nat! i'm 15 but when i grow much older, i wanna be just like you :)
thank you, seems great to be thought of as a role model, though in many ways feel like, 'not there yet'/'perfect'
i feel like i have a lot of things to say to younger girls in general, in light of some things my mother told me about acquaintances who have turned into juvenile delinquents, as well as how i felt when i was 15
but most importantly:
(1) paradigms of hierarchal popularity will END via,
(2) the world is much bigger than you know (ie. the people in school/singapore)
(3) it is ok to not please people around you, you can't please everyone you might as well please yourself
(4) just stay true to who you are & your values (and find justification for what you believe in, don't believe bc others do, or your parents do, need to find firm basis for yourself otherwise you'll enter [greater life/society] & find yourself easily shaken/influenced by others around you -
Have you ever recommended a book to a friend?
'lol' at this question

I've always been rather obsessed with Indian wedding necklaces and Celtic circlets! Completely unattainable but how sick is this http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/172067 ♥ Also, http://wintercheckfactory.com/shop/23-1907-ring is pretty cool. Imma smile at this to bookmark all these lovely things.
Would like to add that MBMJ jewellery's gross. -
What is your favourite memory from your childhood?
I have such a horrible memory that all of them are favourites.
Picking up a nuggets meal or 25 cent cone at the drive-thru with the grandma after school. We'd often bump into a neighbour in the lift & she'd look at me with envy ^^
Sprained my wrist from stopping a front handspring midway because a little girl ran right in front of me (I thought getting injured was pretty cool at the time, haha, I was about nine or ten).
I had a whole library of Mary-Kate & Ashley/Full House novels which and I'd jot down the title, date & name of those I lent them to in a little notebook because people wouldn't return my books! (Was a control freak from a young age.. The mother trained me well, haha).
After training on Saturdays the parents would bring us to Sushi Tei at Millenia Walk for dinner. There Russ and I would compete to see who could eat the most plates of salmon sushi, haha. We'd usually have 13 plates (26 pieces) each--just a little frightening. I miss being that super cut twelve-year old.
In primary school Nicki & I covered used correction tape in glitter glue and sold it to her older sister for quite a few dollars, haha. We were some pretty business savvy kids.
I kind of miss pseudo-solo Tuesday trainings with Hu Jiaolian, sailing upwind on one tack hiking till my thighs burned before going numb, then turning around to meet Malcolm who'd be left behind & repeating all that again. I miss my six pack :( (Apparently I've also been a masochist for forever).
Ah, sailing camps run by uncle Borstnar were also so much fun. We'd get the last night off to go bowling and he'd get little trophies made for those who worked the hardest. (Wow, my brain's now quickly running through all my sailing friends, people I've known for half my life!)
Sunday School was fun--those colouring pages and crafts we did for mothers' day, etc. I remember very conscientiously colouring within the lines & getting very annoyed if someone doodled on my sheet (some things never change).
I used to get so scared whenever we had to perform for SYF (I was in choir in lower primary), all those bright lights in your eyes. I remember being told the judges would deduct points if you didn't look at the conductor. Miss Lim was awesome though.
Am going to smile at this because ah, they're such fond memories. It's actually rather scary how I haven't changed much personality-wise. -
what would you wear to a formal event? a gown? any style references?
