Does licking the inside of a pitcher plant count?

Incredibly well. I feel a peace about life that's been hiding but finally is here again. Focusing on school and training for my 100 mile bike ride around Lake Tahoe in June. Getting excited for finally not being a student come May 22nd. Excited about the future. :)
-
Nothing lately. Too busy with work and school. Can't WAIT to graduate come May! I did just order an upgrade to my camera body and new lenses...so will be playing with those this week.
-
Unfortunately I can't make it to the cities. But send me your address as I have something to send! :)
-
I will get in amazing shape--physically, mentally, spiritually. :)

I go to Cancun tomorrow! Taking a vacation to get away from the frozen tundra. Hmm...what else...I signed up to bike 100 miles around Lake Tahoe to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in June. My parents are doing the ride with me too! (so proud of them) I graduate in 97 days from my Master's program. I'm not a fan of WoW this time around. I'm upgrading to an iMac and new camera for my photography business. I still can't believe I'm a landlord for my other house. Lately I've been feeling like I have an old soul...but I like it that way. :)

Work is going really well! I have my year end review when I return from Cancun (so in 2 weeks) and I'm excited to see how this past year went. I was recently nominated for an advisory board for myself and my colleagues and will get to travel to NJ quarterly for this. I'm getting more and more responsibilities and I feel very excited about my development. I'm even going to be using my photography and video editing as an educational/training piece with my job.
And photography...is coming along also. I'm not pushing this as much, just letting it naturally evolve. -
I'll be celebrating up in Hayward with my family. We do Christmas on Christmas Eve. On schedule is cooking, a family photoshoot on the lake, and then opening gifts. Christmas morning we do stockings. Then I'll drive down back to my home and do Christmas Day with Matthew and his family. Busy busy, but just how I like it. :)

No specific plans yet. Knowing my aunt and I, we will want to do lots of snorkeling, bird watching, archaeology, cenote diving, and learn about the history of the area. I'm in touch with the tour guide from our high school Mexico trip, so I'm looking forward to connecting with him and getting to explore the remote/scenic areas.

Definitely the photoshoot with my grandma. It was this fall up in Hayward. On the fall color tour. I drove her and my aunt 60 miles around the forests to see all of the peak colors. I stopped on a dirt road, had her 90 year old self pose in the middle of the road and we threw leaves at her as she giggled until she cried. The forest service drove by and smirked at us. I loved that at one point, she made the same exact post my grandpa (her husband) had, 10 years earlier at our high school graduation. Looking up into the clouds and smiling. I will cherish those photos forever and ever. Such a beautiful day with a beautiful person.

Biathlete. Cross country skiing and target practice.

I loved reading The Babysitters Club, Nancy Drew and The hardy boys. Oh! And choose your own adventures!
-
Realistically, no. But I would love if something did to prove everyone wrong.
-
After reading the book The Hunger Games I could see our culture eventually getting to a point of self destruction when the carrying capacity is met. Politically, we collapse. And those who can live off the land will only survive.
-
I see my blogsite bringing about connections and new friendships. I see my photography making a difference. Just not sure yet how.
-
Eh. I'm frustrated with Wisconsin. Not really sure why the majority voted the way they did, but I guess I have to live with it now.

Oh my. I would LOVE to fly. I actually have felt this in dreams. I'm sure you can relate to this. Or I hope you can! :)
In a very vivid dream, I was jumping off the roof of my parent's house to soar up into the pine trees like the eagle and then swoop down and ripple along the lake to create waves. I could speed up by being more "bullet-like" and almost hover by putting out my arms.
Love those dreams! -
Hmm. Probably finishing up school this year and graduating in May with my Masters. Writing my thesis between January and April. What other new challenges I can do with my life. How much longer will our sweet, 15 yr old dog be with us?
Luckily nothing too earth shattering or life changing on my mind. -
I'll be with her tomorrow in Chicago so will do my best to convince her!
-
Oh boy. So hard to choose just one. Some of my favorites include..."pretzels almost like chips" (we were looking for snacks in my house, and we never really had junk food), ice fishing in snowmobile suits, my cockatiel Sweety getting loose outside of Jessie's house in January weather, us searching for her, and then finding her the NEXT morning, Sugar Ray concerts, "summer boys" skinny dipping in the Namekagon and all that went with that night, Jordan's hockey tournaments, eating her mom's spaghetti and her biting into an Asian Lady Beetle, one of our first nights in the dorms at Madison and Brian S. standing in front of her... (ha, that still makes me laugh), when she emailed me right before I graduated from college so we could see eachother after our "2 year divorce", oh PROM PICTURES, Timber humping my leg before a 6th grade dance, bus rides on the volleyball bus (she had the best shoulder to sleep on), our nights together in Chicago.
We gotta get her on here so we can ask HER these questions! :)
