It's a horrific marketing technique called "planned obsolescence." It's horrific because my biggest concern is how god-awfully unsustainable it is for people and earth's resources. Repulsive.

The Theology of "Peanuts" - By Richard Beck

It's an online essay series a part of the blog, "Experimental Theology".

I was outside a lot on my bike going around the local area and perhaps to the forest, escaping into my own Calvin-and-Hobbes-type imagination (of course to me the bike was an aeroplane and the local area was the world). Then going over to my next door neighbour's garden to go on their swings, play games or talk endlessly.

      Then the internet came.

The interesting thing about this question, is that I know what your talking about.

I know these two people who's boundaries of banter are so far out it doesn't make any sense. Especially when one of them was like "OH MY GOD STOP FINGERING MY ARSE" and I looked over to see the other pulling is hands out of the back of his trousers.

      This happened in Business Studies.

A teacher asked me once when I was programming a game if my father was some IT professional or genius, assuming I picked up my programming and love for computers because someone else raised me to do so. I think it came upon me because pretty much all kids with obscure skills and interests brag about how successful their family are, or just generally have parents who teach them everything.

It was hard to explain that my father is a cleaner.

I can't really teach anything, I barely have any speaking capabilities.

I'm introverted, mainly because I have interests which I know nobody in real life has or barely cares about. Being introverted really isn't fun, but I've come to accept that I have food, water, a place to live and my own interests which I can gain a certain amount of joy from. But I just lack people.

I did an entire essay styled thing on the art of video games for my Creative and Media personal project and I can say that yes, video games are a form of art if they intend to be. A very sophisticated form of art it can be, at some points when you look at how all the visual elements come together it can be very beautiful.

Of course I specify "if they intend to be" because I doubt Tetris can be seen as an art form, but more of a function to gain fun and enjoyment. Then there's "games" like Proteus, which is on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to "function-as-a-game" up to "art."

      Definitely no.

Doesn't anyone realise the power of questioning? Yes, it seems ridiculous to deny the Holocaust but the fact that people do question whether it happened results in people gathering more evidence for it.

A bit like science, you know?

No. I'm interested by those who say yes, and justify it by saying that it encourages this "pure childhood innocence" and that it's "cute". Which seems all lovely and heartwarming on the outside. However, I see it as a very unnatural approach for keeping children "sweet and adorable".

How about love between the parent to child and child to parent interaction? The poking of belly buttons, the tickling, the giggling and so forth. How about the child being the scientist they were born as, exploring and finding out about the beatiful nature world?

This is what I find to be the pure form of childhood innocence, not Santa.

People in my chemistry class was talking about how the TV channel "Dave Ja Vu" is the best name for a +1 hour channel ever. Then they started to talk about how other channel names should have a more clever title to their +1 hour channel.

      - "BBC You in an hour"
      - "Channel 4 + 54 minutes"

Would I rather be rich as a result of being morally corrupt, or famous as a result of being morally corrupt?

Movies? Resturaunt? Talk about a relationship so typical and cliché, you can just feel it ending in a month.

Past - I'm obsessed with getting nostalgic. Going to the future may permanantly void my faith in humanity.
