I only cut some by hand. The more intricate ones are cut with an electronic cutting machine or other smaller punchers.

You could open up your own Etsy shop. It's free to open and has very small fees to list and sell.

Period films! Jane Eyre. Count of Monte Cristo. Wives and Daughters. North and South. And my newest obsession: Downton Abbey. I love pretty much any BCC movie really. They're filmed so well.

I listen to gentle soundtrack music the most when I'm in a creative mood. I feel like music with words or too much beat is really distracting for me. A little taste of what I love: Happyness, from the Pursuit of Happyness soundtrack, is a good example. For something a little more fun, I adore La Valse d'Amelie, from the Amelie from Montmartre soundtrack.

Yeah, about that…my office space is actually not that pretty at the moment. I'm in the process of fixing it up to actually make it an inspirational space for me. I asked my husband to paint my walls for me as a Valentine's Day gift. I think it just might happen. The rest I can handle just fine. I'll probably put up before and after photos on the blog sometime.

Having a creative full job is hard to pull off. So it requires A LOT of dedication and hard work. It can be years of you giving everything of yourself to your dream and still finding yourself hitting a wall. It may be years of seemingly endless disappointments because you feel things are moving too slow or not enough people appreciate the creative power that you infuse into your work -- and that's when you need to stay strong. This probably doesn't sound very encouraging, but it's very important -- otherwise you might just quit just before your big break comes. And another thing: branding. If you don't look professional and have a super sweet presence, then folks are just going to move past you and move onto a company that LOOKS like they can do better, even if you're the best as what you do.

Daniel Usenko, the photographer. And yes, I do the accounting myself. It was hard at first to figure it all out, but I had a friend who does taxes help me out there.

Probably deciding what I wanted my business to be and then setting everything up to follow that "mission." I've never had to make so many decisions so fast in that quantity before. But it was actually a fun process versus a tedious one because I was being coached by someone who knew what they were doing.

I did go to Clark College for 2.5 years and took classes like 2D Design, Color Theory, and Graphic Communications, but that's about it. I wanted to get into a real official design program, but ended up getting married instead and launching my business.

Oh gosh. I think I was proposed to. I had been making cards for years beforehand and it didn't even pop into to my head to ask someone to do my wedding stationery. I just had to do it. And I fell in love with it and decided that I wanted to do that more than print design {graphic design}.
