I'd like to think it's a mix of both. At this point, the altruism is winning, because the books are getting more and more fucked up, and I keep getting more readers, so I'm mostly still reading now because they seem to find me witty or something. At the same time, I feel like the book is always staring at me on my desk, daring me to read more, so maybe I'm just masochistic after all.

ANGEL STATUES OH PLEASE NO.
Okay so the angels are only "survival" evil. I mean, they just send you back to the past, they don't even kill you. Khan only really wanted to destroy Earth. The Master, on the other hand, was kind of enslaving Earth so that he could create all kinds of wibbly-wobbly paradoxical nonsense and END TIME AND SPACE. So while the angels will forever haunt my nightmares, The Master is totally the most evil. And The Doctor tried to help him anyway QQ </3 -
Oh frig. There's no way I could give you an accurate answer. Off the top of my head, the one where Worf's timeline gets all messed up, the one where it's his birthday and something about Geordi's visor makes everything all wibbly-wobbly and timey-wimey (I like time travel episodes... it appeals to my inner Doctor Who fan). I just looked it up and it's episode 163, season 7. Runners up are the one where Riker loses track of reality after a play when he's abducted, and psychological horror ensues, as well as the one where Data goes back in time and becomes an inventor (the one where they find his head in the present). But I love Darmok, too... it made my inner language nerd happy. And, and, the series finale, The Best of Both Worlds! If only for Picard yelling about tea. For TOS, I loooove "Mirror Mirror" (alternate evil universe!). I like "Arena," too.
Worst... maybe that awful one with the hippies in TOS? Why, why, why does Spock have to keep singing? I was wishing for their death. It finally came. Also "Spock's Brain," but we don't talk about that one. If I counts, every copy of the first Trek movie should burn in the blaze of a thousand fiery suns. While we're on it, my favourite movie is "The Voyage Home," even though it is silly... that's why I love it!

Sweet, I'm glad I am getting Trek questions from some anon. I have to say TNG is my favourite, as much as I love Kirk-Spock-McCoy (even though my bf is a TOS purist, and will never forgive me for loving Picard more than I love Kirk). I grew up with TNG, so it will always be my favourite. Except for Troi. I hate Troi.
I was incredibly impressed with the reboot, too, and I'm really excited for the next one. I hope they nix the weird Uhura/Spock action, though. -
The Borg! I have had so many nightmares about The Borg. They are so fully terrifying. And they are responsible for the most painful cliffhanger of all time, when Picard gets Borgified and we all have to wait until NEXT SEASON to see what happens.

I thought about this harder than I probably needed to. I'd probably be a Betazoid, not so much for the telepathy, but for the empathy. I'm pretty sure being an empath and a synaesthetic at the same time would be fun times.

I have a legit diagnosis of Astrapophobia. I am also ichthoyophobic, but not in a legit way, just in a "ha ha Amy-Jean screams when there are fish and won't go in the water" kind of way. My shrink keeps telling me I have Agoraphobia, but I don't believe her yet (and the fact that I will do anything to stay away from her office TOTALLY isn't a symptom OKAY??)

A call center, doing outbound surveys for a cable company. After 2 weeks, I had a small nervous breakdown in the midst of everyone, and quit. Whee!

I love working at Gamers' Vault, which is one of my current jobs. I sell Magic cards, run a LAN center, have D&D events, and talk extensively about Pokemon to my customers. It's glorious.
