It's crossed my mind at least once before. I think it would be cool to have green eyes. But then I start to worry that if I did have green eyes and I ever decided to visit China, Lo Pan might try to hunt me down and use me for his evil schemes. So for now I'm enjoying the safety of my light brown eyes. :)

I am 29. I am kind of older, I guess? Although, I've always thought, even since I was a kid, that OLD was a label for people who were like 80 years old. But yeah, I guess I am old enough to have kids . . . although apparently so are 16 year olds nowadays. And I'm TOTALLY not offended. I don't think age is something that anyone should be offended by. We all grow up . . . I'm just lucky that even though age number gets bigger, I still feel SO young and I don't take that number too seriously. :D

I don't know who he is. :( I've actually never really watched speed skating or followed it, but from what I just read, he's really accomplished!

Pretty good! Can't complain. I'm flying home this Thursday and I'm really excited about seeing friends and family! I'm also looking forward to a relaxing vacation where my biggest responsibility will be choosing between seeing either Tron: Legacy or Black Swan :)

    9. amanda

Bahahaha! Dad, is that you? Hahaha! What is air!?! :D

    10. amanda

Clearly you are, DaD. ;p omg I can't stop laughing. The only thing that could make this funnier would be if you were really my dad asking this. And to be honest, I'm not ruling it out. ;)

    11. amanda

I'm glad I make you laugh! :D I really do admire comedians. It takes so much time, talent, and skill to really know how to "work" a crowd consistently and be able to make everyone laugh. I think that's one of the main things that makes me shy away from pursuing comedy. Other things that make me shy away: (1) I'm funny, but not funny to everyone. My quick wit combined with my dry sense of humor and snark sometimes causes people to think I'm being serious. (2) I LOVE attention, but I tend to personalize rejection. I don't think I'm quite confident and strong enough to face a large crowd of people I don't know yet. (3) I always blank when put on the spot. One of the things I love about writing is that I get time to re-write and rethink things before I actually put them out there. I just don't know if I'd be quick enough to do stand-up.

That said, I do appreciate the love, and there MAY come a time when I feel comfortable doing something like that. I just don't think that time is now. But it's also not completely out of the question. :D

    12. amanda

Oh my gosh why are you asking me such a creeeepy question???????? jk. ;)

My favorite thing to wear is soft shirts . . . like the really really worn in ones that you usually get at like garage sales and stuff. My favorite one used to be this old dark heather gray one that had the Harvard seal on the front and it was sooooo soft and worn. Loved it!

Ideally, I LOVE wearing capris. However, Seattle weather doesn't always cater to that desire, so I mostly wear Old Navy jeans, fun socks, and then of course, my cons from Target. Those are my favorite shoes :)

And above all, my favorite thing to wear is accessories!! Beads, bracelets, headbands, buttons, etc. I love them all! I'm definitely an accessory girl :)

    13. amanda

Seriously! :( we'll definitely have to remedy that today! It was a great trip though! SoCo did an extended set & I got to sit in the VIP section fo frizzle! :D

Doritos! Anytime I see or smell Doritos it reminds me of 8th grade at Lamar Middle School during football season. When we had after-school cheerleading practice, my mom would ALWAYS give me a big bag of Doritos and a Coke, even though I would always remind her that I hated Doritos and only liked Dr. Pepper. So I would either trade snacks with another girl or just give away my snack and wait for dinner. Hahahaha! And i STILL don't like Doritos. ;p

    15. amanda

Actually yeah. Also, time constraints. Luckily my workplace doesn't give me a strict dress code, so I can wear sweats and a t-shirt if I want. But usually my mood determines the outfit. If I'm having a pretty upbeat morning, I'll put on some brighter colors or outfits with stronger contrast. Also, the outfit definitely affects the mood throughout the day. How can you not smile when you look in the mirror and see bright yellow beads?? Yeh, I dunno either. ;)

Oh only all the time ;) I feel like I actually always have something on my mind. I tried to explain to my friend Danny yesterday how I feel like I'm a walking Bing commercial. Someone will say something and It'll spark another thought or idea. I also have an active imagination, so when people say certain phrases, it becomes a live action event in my mind. For instance, when someone says, "Pretty big deal," I imagine a giant deck of playing cards.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about some various storylines—researching backstory possibilities and acting them out in my head to work out proper dialogue and get general descriptors nailed out. Also, since I've been spending the week painting, I've been thinking about how to design with the end in mind, making sure that as I paint, I can keep the overall finished vision at the forefront of my mind so I don't have to go back and fix a ton of stuff. But mainly storylines and painting as of late, and a little bit of thinking about how to make the most of my time when I'm in LA in 2 weeks!

But as I said before, there's always SOMETHING on my mind. I'm a thinker, a dreamer, and I might possibly be a walking Bing commercial. ;)

Well honestly, my favorite city is New York City. I'm a lover of the big city, bustling crowds, and bright lights. But since I don't live there, I'm enjoying my 2nd favorite city: Seattle :D

      Long answer:
If a woodchuck could chuck wood, it would chuck all the wood that it possibly could . . . IF a wood chuck could chuck wood.

      Short answer:
Stop judging the woodchuck based on his work efforts.

Sure! But I gotta admit, listening to this straight in a row I find myself needing to take breaks. I love MUTEMATH, but I can only take the electronic stylings for sooooo long. Overall I don't find very much variety from their well-known sound, so I'm going to try to break it down and hit on things that stand out to me. PS: sorry this took me so long.

      1. THE NERVE: The go-go-go beat really adds itself to the simple, straightforward lyrics. Paul has one of those amazing voices that adds itself to the wild stylings of the song.

      2. BACKFIRE: The drum beat on this song is soooo sick! As much as I love Paul's scattered verses, I can't help but be drawn to his mellow string of lyrics toward the end. PS: This chorus is ADDICTING. <3

      3. CLIPPING: I love the transition between the verses and the chorus. And i love his voice on "Anymooooooore"

      4. SPOTLIGHT: This one is one of my favorites from the album. I mean c'mon, I can't even play a few seconds of this song without wanting to clap clap clap with excitement!

      5. NO RESPONSE: The beat actually reminds me a bit of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." A slow version, but a version of it none the less. It's a sweet song with a steady beat, but there's nothing all too strong about it.

      6. PINS AND NEEDLES: I actually kind of enjoyed the jazzy feel of this one.

      7. GOODBYE: The funky disco beat is pretty awesome. It's a good blend and not too overwhelming. My favorite lyrics, "I'd rather die holding one another. Your hand in mine, it's easier to suffer. I understand why the world is out of colour. One life ties to another."

      8. ODDS: I love the beat and the production of this one. It's catchy, powerful, and smooth.

      9. ELECTRIFY: This one is probably the one I like least. :( I feel like it's a conglomeration of all the other songs on the album. I don't hate it, it's just not my favorite. :)

      10. ARMISTICE: This is a fun beat with some cool effects. This is one of those songs I wish they'd played at my school dances.

      11. LOST YEAR: ABSOLUTELY love this song. I love that it's such a fresh break from the wild tone of the album and proves that Paul's voice can be magical with or without effects and too much production and mixing. I just love the simplicity and beauty of this song! This is my other favorite off the album!

      12. BURDEN: I really enjoy the sharp cuts of the beat on this one. And again, Paul's voice just wins <3

i DOOOOO. My biggest fear is heights. Seriously. Even just a tall flight of stairs—I grab on tight to the handle (if there is one) or put my hands close to my side and walk SLOOOOWLY down. And I can't have anyone try to touch me when I walk down or I freak. And it HAS to be quiet. A lot of heavy breathing is involved—no joke. That's why I don't do rollercoasters. Just ask P.Dan about that one ;) But yeah, heights is my biggest fear. Although the weird thing is that I LOVE rides like The Tower of Terror and the other high drop ride at Six Flags/Fiesta Texas. : / weird.
