first, thanks so much for the awesome words! most of the technical posts will be about wordpress, but there will be lots of generic blogging posts, like SEO opportunities. blogger just doesn't allow a lot of customization, so there isn't much to focus on.

i would definitely recommend switching from blogger to wordpress, and you can check out the "building your wordpress blog" series on edit and post for tips on setting up wordpress! http://www.editandpost.com/series/building-your-wordpress-blog/

Learned everything through google searches and research. I had taken one C++ class in college and also knew a bit of SQL, but had no experience with CSS and PHP. I love Wordpress though - it's such an amazing tool once you get to know it!

Charlie has been going to daycare almost the entire time we have been his parents. He started at a few days per week while the husband was in school, and then went full-time when he went to work. He loves daycare, and is much quieter and more tired at night. Working during the day and then blogging at night, I want a cuddlebug, and it is so wonderful that he's able to play all day and come home and snuggle. :) It's also easier to board him, knowing that he is somewhere with people who know and love him.

i absolutely wholeheartedly recommend it - best day of my life. so, advice:

      1) include things from throughout your marriage that are memorable to you - maybe it's ceremony music, or the gown you wore the first time, or a poem you read while you were dating... make each and every element of your event about you and your partner, because it's a celebration of the time you have already spent together as much as it's a promise for the future.

      2) involve your whole family - whether you have children, or furbabies, or a SIL you love, whatever it is, they have made your couplehood great, so make sure they are a part of it.

      3) this is your time to shine. you're married!!! and so whatever politics you had at your wedding, or at the start of your marriage, put it aside and do whatever it is that you and your partner want to do. no rules, just love. :)

      good luck with the planning!

so timely - in light of cyd's post on EADL today. the hubby and i do not plan on having children (well, human children that is - we have a furbaby you may have heard about!).

i've never been a mommy-type. but other than me personally, my thoughts on kids are - yay for those of you who want to have them! and my two cents of advice: 1) take them to lots of baseball games (but please don't let them kick people's seats - lol) and 2) if at all possible, travel with your children and let them learn all about the world first-hand!

as a former figure skater, that has to be #1, but otherwise i'm a gigantic baseball fan!

weekday: wake up around 8, in the office by 9:15, work til 6-7. then it's home, dinner, and blogging! and of course, bad television.

the weekends are my time to catch up on my google reader, work on any coding for the blog, and schedule posts for the week. i usually sleep in until between 9:30 and 10:30 and then work away. most weekends involve watching sports, as well as a bath and a book. :)

i think that EAD Living will definitely expand into all of the above, as the amazing ladies who blog are going through all of that in their lives! i hope to have a lot more time to focus on EAD Living this year as well, so that i can document my own personal ideas.

it's so funny, but scott and i were JUST talking about you two and stella like an hour ago. we are definitely coming to atlanta soon (probably april!) and stella and charlie need to play!

My best friend Rebekah and I started EAD in October 2007, completely on a whim! She has since moved to Nicaragua (and still blogs for EAD Living), but obviously EAD lives on. :) Best spur of the moment decision ever.

if i had the money to not worry about money, i would want to own a small boutique (not sure what i'd sell, but it probably would not be clothing - maybe paper and gifts?)

We will always have a pup, but only one at a time. I want to be able to devote all of my love and attention to Charlie. And since he goes to daycare, he isn't in need of a playmate. (Plus, double the dogs is way more than double the work, I know from experience!)

My "blog friends" for sure. I feel incredibly lucky every day to connect with so many amazing people and to count many of them as true friends!

To start, you would email me {info at elizabeth anne designs dot com} with your blog info. Then I will send it to the existing bloggers, and as new spots open (we cap it at 24 bloggers), we collectively choose the new blogger to add to our community. I love the amazing and diverse ladies that blog for EADL and am always thrilled to bring someone new in!
