Do you, or would you, consider yourself a renaissance man? Puffy sleeves and all? Haha

I dunno if I'd go that far, but more than anything, I'm just fascinated with a TON of things. Today alone I finished and posted some art, got some reading done, listened to a podcast about modern robotics, bought some new music, played a video game, did some workouts, and a whole bunch of other things. I think a big part of the way my brain works is because of my parents; they've always been really supportive of my interests growing up and more importantly, exposed me to things that were outside of the boundaries of contemporary/conventional thinking. My dad took particular interest in this kind of stuff. As a kid he would buy me art books, or sit me down outside on the porch at night and talk about philosophy or climate, quiz me about music and world history at breakfast, tell me bad jokes, teach me about the different woods used in making guitars, I mean everything. To this day he still cuts out articles that he finds interesting and tapes them to my drawing board for me to read later.

So yeah, I like a lot of stuff and try to do a lot of stuff. I just figure that life is too short to NOT try to learn/try things constantly. A word of caution: living this way may result in constantly talking about/saying things that you're friends don't understand/have never heard. See fig. 1: Milquetoast
