I would create a project to benefit single Moms and stay-at-home Moms. Why? They do so much work and are under-appreciated! It would be nice to work alongside a makeup artist/hair stylist and be able to pamper these hard-working Moms whether it be a Boudoir session, or portraits of the kids.

Get to know pro photographers in your area. Volunteer your time, second-shoot at weddings, build your portfolio, and set up a website.
You don't have to use the latest and greatest camera equipment, but you DO have to know how to use what you already have.
