Don't know much of her stuff. I just looked up Coin Laundry and had a listen, it's pleasant to listen to but I don't think I would go and buy a CD of hers based on that song. That said, it seems like the sort of music that could grow on me as I listened to it more.

Because the big bad wolf said so! No, really, it's because they get paid good money to do those specific jobs. Birds have an amazing flying ability which is far superior to any other animal's. Similar story for the swimming ability of fish, the barking ability of dogs and meowing ability of cats. These specialised skills provide the families of these creatures with a steady income which is fundamental to their survival.

Depends how I feel like dealing with the despair at the time. I might want to scream along to some Meatloaf or Def Leppard or ACDC, I might want to dance like a madwoman to some Lady Gaga or Warp 1.9 by the Bloody Beetroots & Steve Aoki, I might want to be cheered up by some Mika or sit and think with some Katie Melua.
