
How do you deal with obsessions?
I think there are good obsessions and bad obsessions. "Obsession" is often a term we give a deep, passionate interest. These are worth pursuing.
Negative obsessions -- like bad thoughts about ourselves or something that happened that we can't take back -- have to be recognized. It's normal to have them. But we also have to keep from getting sucked back into them. I don't know how to do this. Honestly, I get bogged down with some bad memories and have bad days a few times a month. Usually, staying busy with the present keeps me from revisiting bad stuff in the past.
