Definitely not. If I could go back in time and slap my 16-year-old self in the face and tell her to cut that shit out, I would.

I'm not really sure. I think spanking really young children is meaningless because they don't understand enough about why what they did was wrong. When a child is older, I would make every attempt to explain why their actions were wrong in whatever way they could understand. I mean, I don't have kids so I'm no expert on this stuff and I know dealing with bratty children is a lot easier said than done. I don't want to be one of those people who looks down their noses at parents when I don't have any idea what their situation is like.
TL;DR: I do not plan on physically disciplining my children, if/when I have them, unless it is the absolute last resort.
That said, I do believe in giving a teenager a good slap if necessary. I know I definitely deserved a few more slaps than I got in high school. -
I don't know if I ~follow anyone. I certainly emulate some people I look up to, and I take inspiration from lots of sources. There's no one specific source.

Not looking for a new job at the moment.

I was just there for a few days for work, unfortunately. By the time you send this I was already back in Chicago. I also probably wouldn't have hung out with you anyways, sorry anon.

No, I believe there absolutely was political reasoning behind it and a look at their VP's political track record shows that pretty quickly, I think.

Wow, that's really tough. I don't know if I feel comfortable giving advice on this honestly. I'd definitely err on the side of caution and let someone know who is close to her and who can help her get whatever support and help she needs. That might be her family, other friends, significant other. I'd also talk to her about it directly, express your concerns, and just be there for her in any way that you can.
Contacting her university, especially if the university offers counseling, might be a good idea too. I'd also suggest talking to someone yourself -- a counselor or therapist, if you have access to one -- who can help you plan a course of action and also support YOU with this tough situation. Hope everything works out :/ -
Right now I am working my way through Ulysses by James Joyce, which was a goal of mine last year but I failed. I hate James Joyce and I am completely miserable reading this book but I refuse to give up on it.

No, I don't. Nothing bad happened to me at all. I don't mind 13 as a number actually.

I dropped Discrete Mathematics in college after a week before eventually changing majors, so I supposed Calculus 101 is the highest. I hate math.

No, I am not yet grown up enough to purchase real art. I actually have almost nothing on the walls of my apartment and it really bothers people but I don't mind it. The only thing in my living room is a giant white ceramic deer head above my couch.

My favorite lipstick of all time is NARS Red Lizard. I also like black lipstick (lol goffic) and I just got a dark purple by NARS called Fast Ride that I have been loving.
Grown women don't usually wear lipstick with a flavor, I don't think. At least, I haven't since I was in grade school. -
Nope, though I am capable of it if need be.

Turning down a friend's request. I don't like to ask people for things.

Yes, I have a blankie that is at this point more like a knot of ragged fragments tied together so they don't get lost.

I haven't legitimately prayed since I was a little kid. I've known I was an atheist a long time and when I was younger used to pretend to pray when I was forced to, but would really just sit there and think rebellious thoughts. One of my earliest religion-related memories is sitting in church during a school mass in 1st grade and thinking the whole time about how I was going to marry and kiss the boy sitting in front of me, lol.

My weight pretty much stays exactly the same all the time, no matter what I eat or how much I work out. I rarely check it, but when I do it's always within 2 lbs. of the same number.
I have no problem with my current weight, but I have been incredibly sedentary and lazy the past year and a half and I feel really out of shape and squishy and weak. I want to start working out and getting more toned, so I'm looking for the right gym. Everywhere around me is unfortunately extremely expensive, tho :( -
I did make some resolutions, yes. Mostly the usual sort of general life improvement kind of stuff.

Allyson’s Bio
I love everyone, but I do as I please. I like to throw stones from my glass house.
