   Both of us are pretty short, but we've gotten a lot of wear out of our maxi dresses. I really like them because they're pretty versatile (with a top over it, cardigans, button downs, etc--and black is great for that) and you can wear them all year, though I mostly wear them in the summer. So I would say try it on in the store to see it you like how it looks on you. However, if you want to be on trend, I don't know if I'd buy one right now since I haven't seen many people wear them in a long time. Hope that helps!
