What %age of your online persona is comprised of the "real" Sarah, and what %age is the fictionalized or caricaturized version of you that we recognize as Roses? In other words, when you appear on TGWTG, where does Sarah "end" & Roses "begin"?
I don't want to give away too much of my character, but I would say that Roses is much more bubbly than Sarah. Roses is completely oblivious to the misery of her LP partner's misery and is MUCH more childlike than myself. Sarah is a little darker, likes a lot of macabre stuff, very academic, etc. Roses is sort of like the kid I wish I had been as a kid, carefree and goofy.

Not a judgmental question, but how did a sheltered, raised-with-a-fear-of-God farm girl get such a "sailor's mouth"? NOT A BAD THING cuz the (still few) times ya uss it only endears you to us fans more! /shameless fangasming ^_^b
Middle school.
Also: I may have been raised christian-conservative, but most backwoods hicks have filthy mouths, so I was a stone's throw away from lotsa profanity. XD -
What anime band would you want to be a part of and why? e.g. Houkago Tea Time (K-On!), ENOZ (TMoHS), Girls Dead Monster/Gldemo (Angel Beats!), Nana's band (NANA, natch) or some other band? And BTW what instrument would you play?
Nana's band. I like their style. omo d

What do you love most about anime? Is there anything about anime in general that really annoys you?
My favorite thing about anime is its fearlessness and tendency to subversion. You can and will see any kind of story done through anime. There's ALWAYS something surprising me in anime, sometimes even in otherwise crappy titles. There's just a lot of innovation in Japanese storytelling we're not seeing in the west right now, and the fact that they do all that through animation, my favorite film medium? Cherry on top of the cake there.
My least favorite thing about anime is its tendency toward self-referential otaku-sating crap in recent years. I'm *not* just talking about moe, I mean all the money-sucking OVAs, stupid webshows, all that stuff that is made JUST for otaku who like certain characters or a certain fetish-y idea or whatever and alienates the rest of the world from anime because that's what's popular and prevalent. So yeah that gets my goat. XD -
What's your favorite cop show?
Cop show, eh? Well, I am not sure if this counts, but I've always loved any/all of the Law and Order shows.

I'm may be getting a bit personal but were it goes anyway. I'm bipolar so I easily go grom being happy to really depressed in a snap. What do you do when you get depressed? (I'm taking meds and going to a shrink btw) Thx.
When I get very very very down in the dumps, I take a bath, or I exercise. I find exercising really really effective in combating sadness. If those things don't work, I talk to one of my best friends.

What do you have against Takahashi?
Her best *idea* was Ranma 1/2 and she still ran that into the ground abnormally fast. The woman just takes interesting to average premises, fills them with annoying, poorly written characters and runs. them. into the ground. And yet they become popular and she's like one of the richest women in Japan or whatever. Blurgh a glurg. Never been a big fan. But I do like some parts of Ranma, I'll give ya that. Ryoga in particular has always made me laugh. (It's still shockingly racist though...)

Which five anime would you say are the five EVERY well-rounded anime fan must watch?
Just five? Okay, if I can only pick five...
1. Three Ghibli films, from different five-year timespans.
2. Gundam Wing followed by Gundam 00 for comparison
3. Neon Genesis Evangelion
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Fullmetal Alchemist
Those may not make you well-rounded...at all. No girl-stuff there, actually. But if I can only pick five, and even then I'm totally cheating, that was off the top of my head for approaching an understanding of fandom a little bit. That's pretty much all that would do for you, give you a decent backing to talk anime with a fan and know what you're talking about, inside of five titles. -
What was your favourite opening of both Fullmetal Alchemist and Brotherhood?
With the original FMA it's hard because my favorite is one of the crappier ones: "UNDO." I like it because it sounds so different. I love the singer's bizarre voice and style. But the opening itself was pretty "blurgh." The best actual opening for the series in terms of animation AND song is the 4th: Rewrite. I'm not even sure it can be debated. Ready Steady Go was a GREAT opening animation-wise, but the song was kinda...it wasn't super-FMA, ya know? So yeah: Rewrite, the 4th opening.
Brotherhood is tricky. All of the openings, every last one, was better than any of the ones used for the original. But I think my favorite is still honestly the 1st: "Again." It just...SOUNDS like Edward or Alphonse is singing it. It builds amazingly well. It's powerful, but it's not melodramatic...etc. I mean the others were good, but I still love the 1st as far as really capturing the spirit of FMA....the 4th, whatever it was called, is a close second place.
