It's quite beautiful, true. The winter with the northern lights and the summer with the midnight sun. I guess you grow blind to your surroundings and don't appreciate it as much after a while.
I think I understand. Spent a couple of months working in Italy and I can imagine that it's something like that. Here most people are mysteries, at least in the north. -

It rarely happens, and you have to have a sauna nearby if you're going to try. -
Not really, but people are quieter and more reserved. But in wintertime a lot of people get depressed due to the lack of sun, and places here are quite small so I suppose people are lonely because of that too. It's nice in the summer though, with the midnight sun and all.

Hehe! Yeah, it's hard to believe. Sure, there are a lot of aurora borealis, even more so in the place a little further up where I actually grew up. There is more light pollution where I live now. Never thought of posting those kind of pictures, I will look into it later today maybe. Where are you from?

I like Π, Clerks, Dr. Strangelove, Fight Club, Amelie, Utvandrarna/Nybyggarna, Sunshine. Most films by von Trier, Lynch, Cronenberg and Wes Anderson. John Carpenter's early works and the Coen brothers. Old horror movies and all kinds of comedies. ...And of course a hole bunch of films I can't think of right now.
