What do you hope to see from the next generation of videogame consoles? What trend or feature would you like to see go away? #videogames #e3 [11]

Overpriced and/or Day One DLC should kick the bucket.

I understand the idea behind DLC is to add to the game and I'm an avid buyer of dlc. My copies of Warhawk, Resistance, Trine, LittleBigPlanet, and InFamous 2 are all blinged out with dlc.

But what I can't freakin' stand is when DLC is overpriced as fuck *cough* COD *cough* or if it's released during the same day its accompanying game comes out or was ready by the time of release and delayed for monetization rather than included with the game *cough* Crysis 2 *cough*

Those damn $15 COD map packs only add like 3 or 5 maps but they completely break the game for me since everyone buys them and plays on them only. Multiplayer becomes a goddamn ghost town and there's no way in hell my broke ass is buying that shit. The tradeoff just isn't enough.

Developers should price dlc reasonably based on what they include and quit it with the drawn out attempts to make money on dlc that should've been part of the game.

Side-note: I'm surprised no one else brought up the online pass trend that's been happening recently. You know, the one in which a pass is required to access multiplayer so that game resale becomes discouraged? I figured this would've bothered someone by now. I'm personally not affected by it since I have a strict policy of never buying used games because sales are final and there's a chance it might not work.

TL;DR: Game developers should get back to being developers rather than money-sucking mosquitoes.
