NO CLUMPS. yuck. Its a fine line to walk, but less is more.
Try to keep it as natural as you possibly can. Unnaturally red cheeks, too dark of make, obvious things that look unnatural.

Natural is the key. I personally don't think many girls look good with colored eyeliner, or much at all. Some guys like this but i just don't. I do know when girls where a lot of makeup other girls notice and talk about how fake they look, and you don't want that wrap.

Non-red lipstick or really bright lipstick in general is a definite line crosser. It should be just enough to give the lips a little color as to not look pale.

On a side note, I have noticed feather extensions and hair coloring are very popular this summer, and personally i don't like these on a girl. the feathers are tolerable,but the multiple colored hair is. I don't like when girls put on bronzer. Its fake and unattractive.

When I see a girl with these things on I can only think about what they would look out without makeup, which can end up looking exaggerated in a male mind. The fairer your skin the less makeup you should put on. When you have unnatural skin tone (makeup on your face) and it meets your natural skin color around the jaw/ears it looks as though you have a mask which is very unattractive. Natural is so much better in my mind, it makes me think you aren't shallow and are comfortable with who you are! Two great features to look for in a girl! These are the types of girls I have relationships with. Without makeup your skin is so much clearer and better looking. I find it unfair many girls judge guys based on looks when they themselves can't go out in public without hiding there natural appearance. A sad double standard. Don't cover zits up with make up to wear they look like tan bumps. They resemble warts in my mind which are far less attractive than pimples are. I doubt many girls will listen to this, but makeup is a cheap thing for you to use if you are going to judge guys based on looks. Its fine if you use it, I've been with plenty of extremely unique and great girls who wear makeup and have asked my opinion on it! just try not to be shallow. I will not shut you out because you wear too much makeup, or just makeup in general, but guys can tell. And first impressions are key when you are trying to form a friendship or relationship. I'm assuming this question is about first impressions? Try not to give guys things to wonder about, like how your skin really looks without makeup, for as I said, the male mind can exaggerate , and when this guy tells his friends about you, the exaggerated version WILL come out. either really good or really bad. somewhat like the stories dad told you about how bad his childhood sucked. pretty exaggerated hahaha.
