Forget about playing solos, anyone offers you to play solos, just say you can't or you won't, 2. work with your acoustic guitar only (messing with electric will make u want to do some crazy solos), 3. Learn john mayer songs from his 1st album, especially why georgia and no such thing, learn the songs until u enjoy playing them. 4. Write songs on acoustic guitars.
