UNDER THE COVERS comes out later this year. We are most definitely NOT looking for a new label. It took years of pleading to get the last one to let us go. I should make this one thing clear, by the way: we didn't get dropped. We asked for our release because we wanted the freedom to do all sorts of crazy things...like us the Internet. Somehow that isn't on the menu for the major labels. They seemed to have somehow missed out on the fact that it exists. In all seriousness though, we went to them and pointed out that we'd been good partners for 16-17yrs but we just didn't agree on anything anymore as far as what a band should do or use to promote itself. We want to give away free downloads and make albums like ALL MY BLOODY VALENTINES and they're not allowed to do any of that shit. I think they would if they could but it's just not allowed. They were pretty cool about it and they eventually let us go. Make no mistake though, we didn't get dropped. That would be crazy. They can't find a way to make money nowadays and we are insta-cash. Any CC record is guaranteed money in the bank. No one would drop us. I don't know why people assume that. I guess they're not used to the idea that bands DON'T want to be signed anymore.

SHoot her with a bow and arrow but make sure it's one of those arrows with the funny rubber suction cups on the front. A real arrow would probably be a fairly serious mistake. I cannot endorse the use of real arrows in any dating situation.

Only at funerals and drum circles. It's really hard to keep it down at the drum circles.

I remember every single specific fan, even the ones I've never met. I only remember them in my imagination though and in the imaginary world they live in but that's cool because the trees there have candy growing off them so nobody's really too bummed out having to hang there for a while. Actually, there was one guy I forgot about. I met him back in '94. His name was Vic and he lives in Davenport, Iowa on Stansfield Blvd. 343 Stansfield Blvd, to be precise. I feel bad that I can't remember anything about him. Sorry Vic.

I never doubt whether or not it's worth doing although at times I question whether or not it was worth some of the things I gave up because of it. As for whether it's good enough, I'm not sure how to answer that. I don't think "doubt" is the right word to use because that suggests the idea of something you might not be able to figure out. I think I KNOW when it is or isn't good enough and I just make sure we work on the anything that isn't good enough until it either IS good enough or until I'm sure it's not gonna be, in which case it takes a seat on the shelf. Art is whatever the artist wants it to be so you're the only one who needs to "know it's good enough". By the same token though, YOU need to know. You have to be capable of judging yourself and your work honestly. Finishing is just as much a part of the process as beginning is. If you can't take that responsibility on, you're eventually screwed.
