      Rereading Narnia (out loud with kids); China Mieville's Kraken; a history of Berlin; and a book called The Falling Sky, about meteors.

      Repeated watchings of Fantasia when I was a kid convinced me that it would be awesome to be a mosasaur and sntach pterodactyls out of the sky.

      It was not, but I'm an amateur Egypt nerd with a special fondness for Akhenaten, so it sure was a fun book to work on.

      An Amazon reviewer of Batman: Inferno was very angry to discover that it was a book. Really. Go read the review if you don't believe me.
