Yes! I was there. Not that I was able to see the performance well at all... I stopped by w/ my friends Tara and David (he's the one awkwardly trying to get out of the way on the floor) and mostly stood around chugging vodka til they were ready to leave. But yeah i go to art school so suprise suprise I end up at a lot of silly art school kid stuff. They can't all be winners. Idk how or why everyone on tumblr got so uppity about a little performance like that. Haters gonna hate, etc.

1. tshirt shredding. tutorials for this are all over the hipster blogs http://childhoodflames.blogspot.com/2008/10/do-it-yourself-shredded-tee.html
2. bleach!!!! bleach and rinse and repeat
3. mist the shirt with black spraypaint
4. to get all those tiny holes once you've bleached it and it's all rinsed and stuff, rub it on pavement using a rock as a tool until it starts to get little holes in it.
and of course cut off the sleeves and neckline and stuff before you do all of this. happy distressing!!! -
