I use the Rollei and the Leica. Both extremely quiet. I shoot Ilford 3200, Neopan 1600 35mm (while my supply lasts) and Portra 800 during the ceremony. I pull my 5d out at receptions! I still love the way the camera and flash work on that system. So seamless and simple. The way the images look is perfection (http://www.abryanphoto.com/images/uploads/laurenandzanewedding041.jpg). But I also shoot a ton of film at the reception. Normally high speed Leica (http://www.abryanphoto.com/images/uploads/laurenandzanewedding052.jpg) and LOMO w/ flash (http://www.abryanphoto.com/images/uploads/laurenandzanewedding047.jpg).

      40-60
I don't have a set amount in mind. I typically shoot around 8 rolls per lifestyle session, normally all on Rollei. I don't really worry about how many images I capture, just want to take a few great images. I stop shooting when I feel like that is accomplished.

Both serve different purposes. The Rollei is great because its compact, simple, but has impeccable optics. The Mamiya is a tank but is perfect for detail shots, shooting groups (w/ 65mm, equivalent to a 32mm) and for Polaroids. I don't always bring the Mamiya with me on shoots, but it does come with me on to weddings.

If I'm shooting a portrait session I only take one Rollei, a light meter and a pocket full of film. I try and keep it real simple. For an engagement session I prefer to shoot without an assistant. This set up keep me from scrambling around. If I have an assistant with me, I'll add in a Leica. I typically have a back up Rollei in my bag at a wedding but I rarely reach for it.

I'm not a particular-kind-of-day light guy. I believe in Anton Corbijn's theory of finding light over creating it. Its rare that you will ever find yourself in a situation where you can't find cool light.

I've never done a reception entirely in Black and White but would love to if a client asked for it!
I typically shoot high speed b&w in my Leica and Rollei and shoot my 5d w/ flash for crisp color images. Or I'll set up a strobe and shoot my Mamiya RZ67.

I shoot with either the 110 or the 65.
The 110 I use for detail images. The 65 I use for portraits & landscape images.
I like shooting portraits with the 65 on the Mamiya along side the Rollei.

I don't use a second shooter at weddings and I'm not a fan of the idea for a few reasons.
First of all, I think it should primarily be one photographer's vision for a wedding day. Often times I see the same wedding on two different photographer's blogs. This creates two completely different looks.
Secondly, it seems as though second shooters are often shooting the same thing as the primary shooter just from a less interesting perspective. Its completely superfluous imagery.
I do take an assistant with me on the wedding day but their primary role is to take care of all my film needs so that I can focus on the couple 100%. They will shoot during the ceremony and reception but being a photographer is secondary to loading film and managing a clients needs.

Primarily black and white. Occasionally I will pop a roll of color in. My color Leica just doesn't touch my color Rollei or Mamiya.

I will move towards tmax 3200. I bought 400 rolls of Neopan 1600 over a year ago when I found out they were discontinuing it. I only have 100 remaining. I will mourn my last rolls finally run out.

I put mine in the back pocket of my pants. Film goes in the other back pocket. My suit jacket covers them both up!
