Usage Guidelines
Thank you for your support and interest in Formspring and the Formspring marks. We have created the following guidelines to explain how you can properly use our name and trademarks without having to talk to our lawyers. We are pleased that you want to spread the word about Formspring, but we must ask that you not misuse our trademarks while doing so. In order to maintain our open platform, create great products, and encourage the growth of our unique ecosystem, we must prevent any potential confusion between Formspring and third party sites and applications. Promoting your Formspring account
- Use the “Ask Me Anything” or “Ask us Anything” buttons with a link to your Formspring account.
- Use the above, current Formspring logos, icons, buttons, or marks as links to your account.
- Use old Formspring logos, icons, buttons, or marks. Please use only the most current versions.
- Use any other artwork from the Formspring.me site or our Facebook application without our explicit permission.
- Alter, change, or modify Formspring logos, icons, buttons, and marks.
Using Formspring Screenshots
- Use screenshots of the logged-out Formspring home page and the Formspring About Us page.
- Use screen shots from your own Formspring profile, featuring your own content.
- Use screenshots of other people's profiles or content without their permission.
Using Formspring Marks in your Ad or Marketing Campaign
- Use current Formspring logos, icons, buttons, or marks as a link to the Formspring service.
- Use current Formspring logos, icons, buttons, or marks to show that your product is compatible with Formspring.
- Use any Formspring logo, icon, button, or mark in a way that might suggest a partnership, relationship, or affiliation with Formspring, or suggest sponsorship or endorsement of any other entity, company, or brand.
- Alter, change, or modify Formspring logos, icons, buttons, and marks.
- Use the marks in any way that might cause people to confuse Formspring with another entity, company, or brand.
Naming your Application/Product, Applying for a Domain
- Name your website, product, or application with something unique and dissimilar to Formspring. Using the words “form” and “spring” independently of each other is acceptable, but avoid use of both words, or similar words (e.g. “FirmSpring” or “FormSprung”) together in a name.
- Feel free to describe on or within your product, application, or website how it's built on the Formspring.me platform so users understand what it's for and what it can do.
- Use Formspring or anything similar in the name of your product, application, or website.
- Register a domain address that contains Formspring, any misspellings or “typo” versions of Formspring, or anything similar to Formspring.
- Register for or use a trademark with that contains Formspring or anything similar to Formspring.
