Would you let your son dress up like a princess for Halloween? Would you let your 5 year old boy paint his toenails hot pink? Do you think our culture is 'being encouraged to abandon all trappings of gender identity'?
a. if he wanted to dress up like a princess for halloween.. sure..
b. im pretty sure that my daughters did paint my sons fingers or toes at some point. i did not lose any sleep..
c. i think our culture is too obsessed on trying to blur gender lines.. its no longer acceptable to be a "macho" man or a "princess" woman... this is equally as bad as having no tolerance for blurred gender.. i wish we spent more time being tolerant in general.. -
