I'd have to see the photo - I'm not actually sure I ever did bright purple.

A bit. Like yourself, yes, but also: a life without imposed expectations is a much more fair, sane and satisfying one. I've come to think that we can only reasonably expect things of ourselves.

You're all you have, so unless you decide to be someone you respect and like ok, if not love, you're looking at a fairly miserable existence. One of my favorite quotes is by Tom Robbins, and it goes: "Be your own flying saucer. Rescue yourself."

Start with getting your name out - at first you can use third party to print. If you gain popularity, though, I recommend investing in a high-end printer - if your sales are high, it will quickly pay for itself.

My husband's mother is a Feng Shui specialist, yes! She helped us decide on the colors, I'll break it down for you, room by room:
Bedroom: shades of blue - Tranquility
Kitchen: seafoam green and bright coral - Playful, lively energy
Living room: mustard yellow and light green - warmth, cheerfulness, renewal, energy
Work room: Turquoise and red - creative flow and high energy
Our bathrooms are silver and gold for good fortune -
This is rather embarrassing, actually. I was fifteen and had accompanied a friend to a tattoo artist's house and he offered to tattoo me, as well - for free. It was my very first tattoo, and I picked it out of a tattoo flash magazine. Never again!

I'm not sure yet, but I'm thinking about it. Because I'm painting on wood, chances are I'll be separating the images from the background for prints.

Yes! They were most certainly astounded and curious and impressed. The adults were less receptive, but that's the unfortunate reality we live in. For now, anyhow.

I'd say love is all there is, whether they believe in it or not. Everything else is is its consequence, one way or another.

Thank you! I'm glad you've been digging those. I address your question in the BR posts, as well as in my Interrogation Station posts. Poke around, you'll see!

Thank you for saying so! My art college experience was also largely frustrating and irritating, I can relate. I hope you've found a way to work it out.
I'm still around and I'll be back to posting more eventually, I'm sure. For now though, I have to focus. -
Thank you! It sounds like you have a very striking look, yourself.
As is the case for many Russian mutts, my natural skin tone is fairly light, with olive undertones. However, once the sun hits me, I tan incredibly fast. Usually, I try to keep out of the sun and am super-vigilant about sunscreen, but this summer I spent an inordinate amount of time outdoors and decided to just let my skin do what it feels like, partially out of sheer curiosity, though still keeping on top of sunscreen application.
Personally, I've never bee a fan of spray tans because it seems like they never, ever look natural and tend to get abused. The latter happens to be the case with bed tanning, too, which are dangerous because, despite "safe" claims, they use carcinogenic UVA rays. Sun tanning tends to yield most visually-favorable results, but is harmful, as well. A natural, tasteful tan can look great on the right person, but I've never understood the obsession with deliberately forcing skin to produce excessive pigment, especially now, when we're aware of the connection between prolonged sun exposure and skin cancer.
There are tons of informative articles about the dangers of UV rays online, here is a good place to start: http://www.skincancer.org/the-dangers-of-tanning.html -
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say! I'm not sure how D4RT will impact the kids' innocence, per se, but I'll do my best to superpower the hell out of their creativity.

I haven't been yet, but would love to check it out sometime soon.

I don't. I usually discover new recipes by googling whatever's left in my fridge, adding "recipe" to the search, and augmenting the results to my preference.

I've done a couple for my "What's Zo Wearing?" column, as well as a makeover article titled "Build Your Own Beau" in Issue 03 of Coilhouse magazine. I should do more.
