Keane <3 There's nothing like seeing your favorite band perform 10 feet in front of you. But Tony Bennett was also pretty fantastic.

I'm sure it helps to some degree, because it shows that you have an interest in the school, and spent the summer doing something you're passionate about. Plus you get a grade from it that goes on your transcript, and you can build connections with the professors and current Yale students.
However, I don't know exactly how much attending Yale Summer Session will increase chances of getting accepted. It could be a little, it could be a lot.

Absolutely! I'm trying to focus on how lucky I was to have attended Yale, even for a month, rather than how disappointed I'll feel if I'm unable to return to Yale.
There's always graduate school as well, if I choose to go that route. Not that getting into the Yale School of Drama is any easier- it's twice as hard. But it's an option.

Haha I'm not sure if we're talking about the same guy here, because I met a lot of guys at Yale
      But if we are...
Yeah, stuff got complicated. No, I'm not dating anyone.

      AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING
My classes start Monday, but from what I've seen so far, there's mashed potato pizza, you live in a castle, and the student body is really friendly, smart, and talented. and attractive. What more could you ask for?!

Going on tours for multiple Ivy League schools just makes me realize how right Yale is for me. I can't really explain it; many of these schools are similar, and all of them are great. But Yale strikes the perfect balance between.... everything and everything.

Funny you should ask, I was just looking through tumblr and considering blogging again. :) But I haven't used my tumblr for months, so I don't think it'll be of much use to you either.

YES. And it still feels like yesterday was the first day of junior year. I really don't want to say goodbye to some people at ICS, but at the same time, I WANT OUT.

Would my parents care? Such an understatement; they would care very much. xD I'm not planning on getting a tattoo anytime soon, but who knows, it could happen someday. :) It'd have to be meaningful and aesthetically appealing though.

      Nope!
If I did, I'd love to do a performance on Nirvana and the birth of grunge changing the music scene (from hair metal Nitro to music with raw emotion). But it'd never win Nationals... maybe state, since it's a local topic.
One flaw of NHD is that the judges can be biased, and usually 60 year old Caucasian men and women aren't interested in the grunge scene. However, if I did a project on Woodstock, that'd be more tailored towards their generation.
NHD is so much work though- I really don't want to do another 12 page bibliography, especially when 12 pages is considered short. It wouldn't help my college apps either, because competition results would be announced after I'm done applying.

I dunno, I'm not a hipster, you should go ask one. :P I'm not trying to prove a point against racism, I'm saying that African Americans and their culture fascinate me. It's refreshing to step outside of one's comfort zone, and interact with people that one doesn't normally see in white bread suburbanite Kirkland.

"Do" as in acting or directing? I'm not sure if I'm going to direct or not (if I did, it'd be the spring production), but The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is an appealing option. And contrary to the title, it's not a musical.
