Holy shit, a gazillion? 1) Pay for the college tuition and bills for myself and all my good friends and mother. 2) Start an animation studio. 3) Give the rest to actual people starving in other countries.

I honestly think Conan should've just told Ran long ago. It's not like a ton of people don't already know who he really is. As long as they (and she) keep their traps shut, and I'm sure he trusts them enough to do so, then there wouldn't have been such a huge fuss. It's not like the Black Org. can read random minds... they aren't even looking for Shinichi (or at least they weren't before.) He's had plenty of chances to come clean, but by this point if he told her the truth, the whole thing would be just... completely fucked up. 1) She would be furious and hurt that he's kept this secret from her, for a) he's been lying this whole time, b) whenever she suspected who he really was, he's been letting her think she thinks she's going crazy, c) why have Heji, his parents, professor, and even gotdamn Kaito Kid known, but not her?
2) Haibara is a girl. And if Ran finds about Shinichi then it's easy to figure out Haibara is not what she seems either. That could easily create jealousy. "I thought I was the woman closest to your heart???"
3) Ran has grown to love Conan. As a little brother, as a kid she adores, and with Shinichi back, Conan's gone now. How would the other Detective Boys feel? They'd all miss Conan, even if they all found out in the end his personality was a facade. -
Well, first off I'd be suspicious as hell as to WHY the government would be giving me money like that. There would undoubtedly be some nefarious scheme going about, like framing me from stealing from the government and killing several officials I didn't know existed, thereby making me into a fugitive or something. And all the while I'll naively be drinking a fruit cocktail in a beach house on a tropical island, unaware of that fact that the world's got cameras on me (to satisfy and calm the masses) when a sniper aims for my head and- BANG! I'm dead and all their dirty little secrets and loose ends are cleaned away, while all the world laid witness to a grave injustice, but only thinking some random terrorist was brought to justice.

Oh! Ummmm, well New Years resolutions seem really, really pointless every year. So I didn't even bother to make up some bs promise that I was going to stop thinking about two weeks into the New Year. I spent my New Years sick, huddled in a blanket, on the internet. Haha.
