Darwin image? Can you tell me to which post you are referring?

Do you mean as a religion on the whole, or as a personal choice for myself?
For myself, the Christian path does not work. I have experienced many gods and goddesess that call to me (and the Christian god does not). I also am not a fan of some of the doctrine that many consider important, such as sin or transcending the body.
I know some fantabulous Christians, usually ones who are reclaiming and liberating the faith from so much right-wing dogma in this country. I go to school with several. I learn from many.
As a whole, the faith itself is just like Judaism or Islam to me- another way of people getting to Spirit and the divine, just not my path. -
It's never impolite to introduce yourself! Once you do that (sometimes for a while) she will become accosted to you and get chatty. Offerings also help. We offer her our leftovers (she prefers these to her own portion!) and liquor or red wine.

I would look on witchvox.com for any groups in your area. Most groups, including Dianic ones, post there.

Thanks for reading the blog! I also got started in the Craft because of one of Starhawk's books: The Spiral Dance. To me, it is still her best work.
My advice would be to start getting together with other pagans and witches to find out which Path calls to you- you will only know by circling and sharing with other people. Once you find a Path that calls to you- see if there is a teacher in your area. The only way to learn the Craft truly is with an experienced teacher- and if the Path you chose is an initiatory one, even more so.
There will be a blog post soon about what I personally liked and didn't like in my journey to finding my place. Perhaps it could be of use to you- Stay tuned for that within the week.
Blessings to you! Lily -
It's lovely to hear from you over the holiday. Blessings to you and yours!

Part of the problem with a pagan homeschool curriculum is that pagan is such an umbrella term. I know that I do book reviews, often something is too this or that for my taste. It is hard to get a general enough curriculum that a goodly number of people can use, but at the same time, be specific enough to be of use to you and your family.
Nonetheless, I continue to look as well as accumulate resources to craft my own for Rowan. I hope to put something together for others as I go along. I intend on teaching him what he would get at public school, plus a witch curriculum on top of that. So Oak Meadow might be a grand way to go for many families.
Does anyone else have resources to share?

If you mean Feri, the best way to experience Feri is directly with a teacher (as we are an oral mystery tradition with no holy book). If you mean The Craft in its myriad forms, there are also some books that may be of general use.
The Spiral Dance, by Starhawk, is a classic- and it even has bits of Feri in there, as she was initiated into Feri.
Do you know which Craft tradition you are interested in, or have you gotten that far? I tend toward traditional Craft, as opposed to what has come to be known as Wicca (Although some Gardenarians call themselves Wiccans), personally. what's your preference? -
My "proof" is that I am a rational, sane person and that I have personally experienced and interacted with them- not only "talking" to me, but I have allowed some of them to enter my body and interact with others. Once you have met a God, you will never forget it. The experience is unlike anything else.
While this answer will not satisfy some scientists or atheists, I am fine with that. Not everyone will have the same experiences- and mindset determines what you are able to experience. -
your question got cut off. send me a longer question here:

I would start with the basics, like I am doing with my child: the elements & their attributes, all about energetics and the soul, knowing yourself in all your parts, and cultivating Will.
Getting in touch with the Self and nature are the keys. Being a connected person is very important.
Is there an interest that your child already has? Animals, music, art, dance? Any and all of these can be the entryway into a connected life and demonstrate pagan principles.
Perhaps learning together is a great start! -
There are ways to remove any curses, you just need a little bit of help. I would contact Lucky Mojo and see if there is a hoodoo practitioner in your area that can assist you in person. They have trained folks around the world and have a directory of root doctors who can help. http://www.luckymojo.com/

I would highly recommend the His Dark Materials Trilogy for someone of that age- The Golden Compass, etc. Great books!

The ritual was not for fertility, as I assumed that I had no issues with that arena. The ritual was to bring the child we both had met in dream to us- to call his specific soul into our conception and have specific deity join in that call.

I am not Wiccan either. Your question got cut off. Try again?

Your question got cut off. You have names and... what?

Sounds like they have taken them hostage. You haven't been ignoring their offerings, have you? I find a little Bailey's Irish Cream goes a long way...
