No updates, sorry. I'll get on it when I have more time. Thanks for your patience. You're better off emailing me, BTW.
-
Actually, I'd prefer emailing it to you if that's alright.
-
Perhaps. How would I go about doing that?
-
Wow.. That's terrible. Sorry to hear that. :(

Umm, right. Well unless you've been to a secret Wiiloveit meeting and received a marketing brief I don't know about, we're not here to "compete" with Nintendo Life. I assumed that was clear, but apparently not.

As usual, got a couple things going on behind the scenes. Some potentially big things coming up soon. For instance, we may have some good news to share sometime soon, but it's out of my hands at this point.
We have another special promotion taking place soon on the site to look forward to. There's also a feature slated to go live before the year ends (feel free to take that as a hint :P).
On the review front, there are more than 15 currently in the works, so that's exciting.
There are important site matters I'm currently trying to resolve (some of which are proving very difficult), but I'm hopeful things will be looking up moving into the new year.
On that note, I'm hoping that in 2011 we can get a working comments system in order. That's one of our biggest goals at this point, but of course, we have some big things to set our sights towards moving forward.
All I can say is that things are definitely changing. Whether that's for good or not, only time will tell... As far as I'm concerned, despite numerous hurdles, I personally think 2010 was our best year.
Thanks for asking!

Lol. Months before I published the article, he did express that was fed up with what was going on. Which is why he wanted to do a video review of Space Trek just for the sake of showing how poorly made their games are. Not sure what's going on with that... he's probably too busy to worry about silly little things like that. Besides, I think he's over it. :)

Well I'm sure there are people who may not like what I do, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to call them "haters". But I suppose that's besides the point. In life, there will ALWAYS be "haters" or those who are unduly critical of you personally, or the good work you do. It's an inconvenient truth that you just need to accept as you go through life, and I've been privileged enough to come to this realization early in my life. But without rambling on for too long, I guess my message would be in the form of a request.
If I could speak to them personally, I'd simply ask them to look at what I've done on the site with the right mindset. See the amount of dedication and effort I put into just about everything I do. See that the reason why I'm still around is because of the people who have taken time out to say, "Hey, I appreciate the work you're doing" or "Hey, I love what you're doing, here's how you can improve." Those sorts of comments (both positive and negative) are what push me to keep going, and to keep finding ways I can improve.
I'm no expert and I never claim to be. I'm always learning, which is something that will always ring true no matter what I do. If I'm to be "hated" for hard work, or for having views that may be different from the norm, I'm perfectly fine with that. In all honesty, I would much rather stand out as different for something I believe in, than fit in with "the rest". Plus, if you're hating on me when I did nothing to deserve/initiate it, you may need to look inside yourself and find out why you're feeling that way. There's too much negativity in the world. Channel that "hatred" into something more positive and uplifting, mostly for your own sake. :)
How's that for an answer? ;)
Thanks for the question! -
Just to be clear... Haters of me in my personal life, of my work on Wiiloveit? The key to your answer is in being specific. ;)
-
Haters of... the site? Haters against me personally? What?
-
Great question! Nice to know you're interested. If you think you can have something to bring to the team, definitely send me an email at ks8@wiiloveit.com and I'll happily look over your application/request. I'll then run it by Billy and we'll get back to you. Thanks for the question!

Yeah, he did. Pretty hilarious moment that was and I'll treasure it forever. XD I will admit that I was rather concerned when he first said "No, not that I can think of", prompting me to raise my eyebrow.

Indeed we are. Stay tuned and thanks for asking!

Retail Response: "You're SEGA, and you're gonna make a sequel to Sonic Shuffle for me!" :O
Downloadable Response: "You're Hudson, and you're gonna make a sequel to Water Warfare!" :O -
I'm going to make an edit to the page now to list each person's prize, just so there's less confusion. :)
-
Good question. Part of that has to do with what you're looking for, I think. But overall, retail takes the lead. At the same time, WiiWare isn't to be discounted entirely as it has its merits. :)
