urm... well... depends on what kind of voice acting you're talking about?
I think anba voice acts for fun from time to time... but we're kind of far from seriously voice acting :/ -
1) Ah, well. I'm not entirely sure how to give you singing tips, but being in a choir helps? Ahah. Mmmm, as far as I know, none of us have ever enrolled in professional vocal lessons. Maybe you could watch some Bret Manning videos? He's pretty good at teaching people how to sing!
2) This is a very very long story. But I guess you could say that VocaLight originally started with Ai, Anba, Caspy, Ciel, Ichiki, Rai and myself (Una). But then Rai left, and then a few ups and downs later we ended up with Mong, Nova and Jiman by our side. We've known each other for 1 - 3 years in general, so we are a very close knit group :) -
I'm not too sure what exactly Ai uses to mix as she uses a LOT of programs for different things, but I'd say probably most predominantly Adobe Audition? The mixer for our last project, Kura, also uses it!

Ahaha, sorry, we're pretty much a closed group and we're pretty satisfied with our members. It is also mainly because we all know each other so well, so it'll be a bit wierd with new people.

It's pretty much a closed group so i don't think anyone will be joining in soon. The thing with VocaLight is that we're all very close friends; an online family. I think we already have enough members so it's all good at the moment :D

Haha. All of us together would be very interesting; English, Chinese-cantonese &mandarin, malaysian, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, French, Vietnamese, Thai, German and uh... I'm not sure if there's more. Haha.

I actually knew everyone before VocaLight started...well the original members, asides Ciel-nee, since we met her through Rai. But i think it was my ... "idea". Because after meeting everyone i spontaneously decided we should make a Vocaloid family hahaha and thought of people who fit the roles best. But it was fun 8D!!! and we've come a long way since then ;D

Well for myself, I've already known Ichiki, Ai and Caspy since before VocaLight was created. I only got to know the others when it was created. :) I'm not sure about everyone else.

Well to start with. You'll need members, of course, as well as a mixer and an animator. When that's done and you're itching to start on a project, remember that you MUST set deadlines or you'll NEVER get it done. Whether you extend them or not is up to you. Lastly, a good splash of commitment won't hurt :) Also, it's best if you find people who get along well together. That way, the chances of the group surviving and excelling are much higher as you become friends. All the best!

...Ahaha I know this is going to be the worst suggestion ever but get a decent headset and use the mic of that. Usually any good pair of headphones will have a decent mic for starters. It won't be super high quality but if you're not planning to do crazy professional productions, that, Audacity, and a bit of mixing skills, are all you need for making a decent cover~! Good luck, and have fun~!
