Coming from a family of mixed immigrants, mine was a multi-language household. So my primary languages are the ones of my own heritage - italian, french, japanese - and then english when i started in american public school. Not sure but i speak well enough now i guess. I am trying to learn mandarin and korean next, because i think they are very beautiful. Wish me luck.

My dearest friend gave me a silver ring, with intricate crane and sakura design. These are two traditional japanese symbols. Crane represents peace, purity, wisdom, fidelity, longevity, and spiritual enlightenment. Sakura (cherry blossom) represents beauty, luck, love, and renewal. According to buddhist tradition, sakura symbolises the transience of life, as it blooms only a short time; but also rebirth, as it returns each year. This particular combination of symbols has deep personal significance for me, and i treasure the ring even more because of the one who gave it to me. I wear it always.

麗香 means something like 'lovely fragrance' and is usually romanised Reika. This seems too common so i prefer the anglicised spelling Leica. It was given in honour of my half-japanese grandfather, to remind me of the asian part of my mostly-european heritage.

You know already, but this is for benefit of others? Everyone has different ideas of 'love', but by my definition it is unconditional, completely unselfish, and entirely about the other person's happiness and well-being. Therefore it means wanting what's best for the beloved, even if it isn't what i want for myself. Also there is no requirement of reciprocity.

As you know, i have been devoted for several years to someone i cannot have, and in fact have no access to; but if i DID have the option of a friendship, i would be insanely happy and grateful to have him in my life at all. As i originally intended it, A suggests the pretense of friendship with ulterior motive… so my answer is definitely B.

And the results would be the same as if i had performed the dreaded deed? FLOSS. Tedious, time-consuming, irritating task that makes my gums bleed. Ugh.

Don't give up, there IS more to life than suffering. Have patience and faith. Good things are coming to you.

Glad to get this question here, i'd hate to babble about it on twitter. I'll try to control myself and keep it brief. XD Yes originally double-majored in astrophysics/computer science. After 2 years started thinking astronomy might be more fun as a hobby than it would be as a career, and switched to biology/chemistry. (For either environmental science or naturopathic medicine) But physics is my first love. I still have fun with it, even if it isn't professionally. There's a local amateur astronomer's club but that doesn't meet nearly often enough for me. I also enjoy astrophotography, which i'm still learning. Anyone who is willing to have a discussion with me involving cosmology, quantum physics, space/time, multiverses - things most people just refer to as "all that weird stuff" i'm into - is someone i'll be grateful to know. Sadly i don't encounter those people very often. And HEY, i didn't babble as much as i expected. =p Thanks for the question.

This doesn't say it's the ONLY food i would be allowed, just the one provided for me whenever i'd want? So i would choose something i couldn't easily make myself. Okonomiyaki - Osaka style - with extra sauce please.

Healing. I would love to magically give someone perfect happiness and health.

This could fill volumes, but to sum it up succinctly… faith, selflessness, gratitude, acceptance, and adaptability.

Florida in february 2007 for Dir en grey's 10th anniversary concert was a nightmare. Things were lost, flight was late, had trouble getting from airport to venue. Then on the way home, we heard a boom and saw sparks on wing of the plane… thought we were going to crash. Turned out it was just some static electricity buildup from the stormclouds; but it took the pilot 15 minutes to explain, so we were pretty spooked. Dir en grey were amazing though, totally worth it.

2009 seemed like the year of perpetual mourning, it saddened me repeatedly. But the ones that hit me hardest were Jasmine You (of Versailles) and Michael Jackson.

Any soap opera on the spanish channel. I understand very little español, but it's ok because we take turns making up ridiculous lines to translate the dialogue. Hilarity ensues.

A place not too far from here called TOKYO. One side offers a huge all-you-can-eat buffet full of japanese items including 25+ types of sushi. The other side has hibachi room. The food is heavenly and the price more than reasonable.

Hmm… dead person would probably not be the greatest conversationalist, so i would definitely choose someone alive. =p Best choice would be my daughter, following Dir en grey on tour across Japan. We hope to actually do this eventually.

The pleasure is mine, i am grateful to know you. <3
Thanks for recruiting me to formspring.

My dream car resembles a smaller version of a 1969 plymouth charger, deep purple metallic, with gold 'japanese zombie heroes' logo from Kaoru's new guitar airbrushed on the sides. It is fueled by garbage, creates no pollution, and is indestructible. Sadly, this vehicle only exists in my mind.
