      Is there anywhere I can find out more about unsigned Dior costume jewelry from the 1980's?

      There are two great books I always reference besides doing an online search. Costume Jewelry for Haute Couture and Fabulous Fakes are really good guides.

      I think if you are very slim and short, you could get away with it but I would definitely pair it with some bold necklace - a bib style or a short chained medallion. Just to bring the eye up. Otherwise it will drown you. I am too curvy and short to pull this off. but it is very chic.

      Dear Sandra, Recently I purchased a YSL trench coat with a removable cape. The coat is missing its belt; also, someone removed the belt-loops. Does the loss of these pieces lessen the value of this garment considerably? Please advise! Thanks!

      Unfortunately, it can lower the value. It depends on your definition of considerable. Normally, a trench coat will be cinched, so from an aesthetic perspective, it's already a minus. The fact that it is a YSL coat that was modified also diminishes the value. It's hard to determine if the coat had much value at all without seeing it. Some YSL pieces are worth much more than others, specifically iconic collections. Hope that helps!

      i am looking for a beautiful lounging robe, seen most recently in boardwalk empire. where can i find one? i've looked everywhere!

      a 1920s lounging robe is going to be pretty rare. I would try looking for "dressing gown" of any era, but a 1950s gown might be easier to find. Good luck!

      I found the most beautiful vintage full slip while on a shopping trip yesterday, only thing is that it has a little area with rust stains, do you have any tips on taking rust stains out of vintage?

      Are you sure the stains are rust? If so Carbona makes a rust specific formula. Sometimes you can find it where the RIT dyes are. On a nylon slip, you may want to try Soilove also. Let me know if those work!

      Hi I have 2 1930's lace dresses and I want to know how much I can get for them . I don't know if you can also tell me how much a black kamoto dress from hong kong labeled "Dynasty" on it's tag would cost ?

      It's really hard to say without seeing them in person. I would suggest doing a search on Google and Ebay for online market values. Also check vintage fashion auctions. Best of luck!

      Hi Sandra - Regarding the Pheasant feather clutch bag you posted about on 27th January 2011, can you please tell me how much you sold it for and if you know anything more about it's history. I have 1 just like it!

      I actually haven't sold it yet. It was going to go to A Current Affair with me but I forgot it! I don't know much about it other than I think it's 70s and I just saw a very similar one on Rachel Zoe's newsletter. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
