Your adoration and love for Japanese streetwear may stem from a longing for similar culture or way of life. If you go past the superficiality of merely thinking something looks good and embrace the meaning and symbolism behind each piece of clothing then you are a true Otaku. Now, if it is truly an addiction or obsession (meaning gets in the way of a productive/effective life) then it may serve as a distraction from a void you are trying to fill.

I effin' LOVE PORN. I was exposed to it at an early age of 3 or 5 (its a little hazy), when I accidentally put in my dads dubbed Indiana Jones/Cheerleader Gangbang Porno instead of my Betty Boop/Bugs Bunny tape in the Betamax Player.
Porn has its time & its place. It deals with raw carnal desires and emotions. Most (immature)girls dislike to reveal that part of themselves, hell they don't really understand that part of themselves. So they take something they don't understand, and they label it off superficially as wrong or dirty or objectifying. I've watched porn for a good chunk of my life & it made me more comfortable with myself in knowing how I like to be treated...in bed. Basically I turned out fine, albeit a perv, But a fine functioning citizen of society.
OH! Its like pooing, or farting or any concept that naturally happens to you that no one likes to talk about. Society has created certain ideas & values about how porn should be viewed or treated & that molds into a persons psyche.
