Yes, the comprehensive fee includes a dining hall meal plan as well as $200.00 in declining balance that can be used at the convenience store and different eateries on campus. As for Halal food, dining services tries to meet the dining needs of every student on campus. I would email David Gaul, the director of dining services, at gauld@union.edu for specifics on what is available.
-
We do not award college credit based on SAT subject test scores. Credit is awarded for AP and IB courses. We will give credit for up to 4 AP courses, with scores of 4-5 (3-5) for AP Calc. For the IB we want to see exam scores of a 6+ for higher level courses and we can award sophomore standing for the completion of a full IB program.

Yes, if Union is your first choice then we recommend applying ED2. The financial aid package would be no different than if you applied regular decision, and we also have a higher admit rate for ED versus RD. We require students to fill out the FAFSA and the CSS Profile and if you are accepted, but the financial piece doesn't work out, then you can opt not to attend Union. There also is always the appeal process with the Financial Aid Office, and you can have them review the award package and possibly offer more money. You can always call them at (518) 388-6123,

Yes, this is a possibility as a student accepted into the 6-year law program is accepted to the regular undergraduate college.
-
In our rating system, class rank/percentile carry equal weight to GPA (though the majority of schools no longer use a class rank). We also pay a great deal of attention to the course load a student takes relative to what is offered at his/her school.
To be accepted, you need to have a strong grades, in the most challenging course load that your school offers. Enrolled students average 3 AP courses and a 91/100 or 3.6 GPA. If your school ranks students or provides percentile ranks, 84% were in the top 20% of their class, 55% were in the top 10%. -
The comprehensive fee for 2010-2011 is $54,273.

We have a comprehensive financial aid program that includes more than $40 million in aid from Union's own resources and from federal, state, institutional and other agencies.
