Well, he didn't used to be that bad. He used to care more about our music than what's in his pants (yeah, I did just say that) or tormenting poor Yumi. I'm still holding out for him and hoping he'll realize how awful he's been acting and make a change. If Yumi's slap won't affect him for the better, than I bet almost anything that Sayaka-san's will.
