Paul Ocean is my wife. I don't want to continue, but I will for you.
Matt King is our son. Charged Wolf is our dog. Please kill me now, this family is horrible. Mobilise is our cat.
This is just...like...awful. -
(When I was asked to stop using some possibly hurtful words in my OOC responses here and the in-game channel, I stopped, but I think it is pretty insane to ask me to constantly edit my stupid-ass character's answers to stuff on here. To be honest, I don't spend that much time thinking about my formspring responses and I don't really want to change that.
I find it hilarious that after a year of being with the same players and the same SG the only "drama" or anger I've experienced comes from outside sources that don't know me very well and haven't been provoked directly in the slightest.
The fact that someone as nice as Foxy Ferret considers me one of her best friends should be proof enough that everything I do in-character isn't an extension of myself. The fact that the Noisebomb sends me a tell saying "I love you jt" every time we're both on is another indication that hm, I might just be a pretty good guy.
I don't hate anyone, and if someone says I do, its because they don't know me. I'm embarrassed I actually have to completely spell this out, but fine. I'm actually a very nice guy. I'm a nice guy masquerading as a total dick.
If you ask me to apologize to you, I will apologize. If you ask me to consider your feelings at times, I will. If you ask me to entirely change the way I am so as to not rub you the wrong way, I draw the line there.
Ignore me, if you want, or even take it to another level of narrow-mindedness and ignore anyone who even associates with me, but all you're missing out on is getting to talk to some of the best people I've ever met in the game. If you think I will miss you, I won't, because in my opinion, anyone who lets something boil under the surface this much and represses it to the point where they must explode on an entire group of people they've never even met in-game, is someone that I wouldn't like to spend any time talking to while participating in my ridiculous recreational hobby of being a superhero.) -
My friends would kill me if I retconned.

(Criticism is all around you throughout life, especially if you're heavily involved in a craft like writing or storytelling.
But there's a difference between criticism and commets that are just meant to keep you down. I started writing professionally towards the end of 8th grade. I went on a storytelling performance circuit basically through LA all year and the whole time I had to deal with another performer who would pick on me and treat me like shit because I was so young. He once even told me the only person I could make laugh was my mom. That shit cuts deep, especially when I was just starting. I did well every night and I got plenty of laughs, told good stories, and it didn't change his opinion of me. I think sometimes comments just come from a place of arrogance or insecurity, aimed at people they believe to be "beneath" them for whatever reason, be it age, experience, or anything like that. You can't take comments like that to heart because that is, in essence, why they're saying them. To discourage you for whatever fucked up reason. I don't know who said these things to you, but if their advice was to just "stop playing your character" it sounds a lot like what I'm saying here.
There's a ton of people like that in the world and it sucks, but there's also great people to help you grow with actual criticism and actual collaboration. I am always there to help my friends, both in this game and outside of it, with their stories, their characters, their writing period, and they repay the favor to me and I am forever thankful. With the real criticism and collaboration with people I've gotten, I wouldn't have grown as much as I have.) -
I have come to the conclusion that you are Xanatos' evil praetorian double obsessed with impure thoughts.

(But getting people to ignore my entire SG without even participating in the fight is my only reason for existing...)

(Not typically, the only way I could truly write JT into a corner is if I completely redeemed him and made him become a good hero. Then he'd just be boring as fuck. His whole schtick is being irresponsible and an asshole. I'm slowly trying to redeem parts of that and make him a better person than he was. He was like the primary antagonist for other heroes in some earlier storylines I did with him, lmao.
I'm careful not to go too far or else he just morphs into some weird character he never should have been. Nobody wants to see Tony Stark sober up and stop banging so many chicks or see Spider-Man give up making fun of villains and become super serious, or start tap dancing in jazz clubs... Just the same as you'd never want to see Captain America become a Nazi.
The only way you write a character into a corner is by doing something you thought might work, but it doesn't, so it just kills the character for a while. Circumstances can be overcome no matter how constraining, but if the story you wrote kills your enthusiasm for the character or his future, you got a problem.) -
(I'd really love to see a group become a Justice League-esque group or something to match the Challengers' sort of Avengers feel. I feel like the server's continuity is really awesome as of late, United Underworld reigniting villainside and Nation becoming this brotherhood of mutants sort of feel, yknow if Magneto was a genderless she-male. I'm just saying, as far as heroside though, it has been a ton of fun collaborating with the Challengers, doing story lines, and writing that mythos as well, the most fun I've ever had in a video game in fact. I'm a writer in real life, and few people that I work with or know display the kind of creativity that I find here. Its super fun and I love going along with anything anyone proposes and I feel like there's freedom to do anything. Its safe to say this game would completely tank if not for some of the RPers on this server.
But as far as stories, I don't have a ton of them I'm excited about doing with JT, seeing as he's a completely retarded character, but he'll eventually speed force it up with Baron Blitzman. I really don't have a preference for other peoples' stories, I think people know what is best for the character they've written and I'll get involved if it arouses my interest. I'm a strict superhero-loving comic fan though, so I might not take notice of a lot of stuff if its cloaked in weaboo-ness, cold demons, or something like that. You guys have all of Pocket D, you don't need me.) -

(It all comes down to my respect for the character. I can't respect someone who is level 10 and all-powerful demon king of the underworld or something. To me, the level system makes sense, its hard for me to view a lvl 33 as an icon or something, you kind of have to reach that level of 50. But I am also not a big proponent of PLing your character to 50 and skipping the entire journey, because that in essence also lets you RP the character. Lvl 50s that have been PL'd are vague concepts. Not developed.
I don't text fight, I RPvP. But I acknowledge all ATs' power. I consider the character of Nimbus for example to be tougher than JT, because he controls the freakin' weather. Even though Nimbus is a controller and I'm an MA/Regen scrapper.
But in essence its respect. I won't respect you if you make a character that's 10 and say he's the fastest speedster ever, faster than JT and Baron Blitzman and all the speedsters of the world. Homie don't play that.) -
Hopefully Asunder and Replacer so they do not burn in the underworld for their premarital affair!

@RedHavok, @rplacer, @AzureTracer, @SovereignFist, @TyRicci, @Voltium, @FoxyFerret, @PaulOcean, @AskTheMask, @Blastcycle, @letitglow, Gadgix, and Nimbus are all my besties.
I do not keep a hierarchy of best friend-i-tude, all these people have earned the coveted title of "Johnny Turbo's Best Friend." Although, Volt is the only one with a real best friend contract (AKA list of things I make him do).
Ms. Tinypaws could also be considered my best friend. I have a lot of best friends.
