It's hard to track a criminal from one island to another. The closest the Archipelago has to an organized police force that spans the whole Archipelago is The Navy, who hunt down pirates and criminals who are hopping from island to island. With more local cases and incidents whatever local form of government an island has would deal with it. Dragons police themselves, another dragon being the only creature that could exert any kind of force or punishment over a dragon. It is against Dragon's law to kill smaller creatures, and though Clair's life wouldn't hold the wait of a pure blooded dragon child, they would still be in serious trouble for killing the offspring of another dragon, if Blitz brought them to court on it. His family wouldn't bother killing Clair, even if they knew she existed, they'd just see her as an annoyance. The problem is Dragons do not acknowledge half dragon children as true heirs (and barely as people). If Anthony had stayed and had Clair, she would have been treated as an annoying ward and placed second to the pure blooded children in the household.

I ink on the computer, using the brush tool. I think the hardest thing about inking is getting the lines smooth, a line has to be made in one single swift movement. I usually will make a line, undo, try it again, undo it again, over and over until I get it just the way I want it. Inking's one of the hardest parts of a page for me.

Probably. Not to an unusual degree with a human (not vampire length) but slightly sharper canines than the average person.

I think it's a pretty gradual change with a few sudden leaps in quality, usually around the time I was taking figure drawing classes in college.

I've thought about it but A. the account on Top100webcomics is not mine and I don't have the password, so I couldn't get in to create incentives like that if I wanted to and B. Something like that would take time away from drawing the actual comic.

Well, I'm thinking it's going to be about a were-racoon that sees spirits solving crimes and the were-cat thief who gets him tangled up in all sorts of crazy adventures.

Nope, Raven is not a dragon. He based his form off Blitz not because it needed to look like that, but because he'd come to see himself as a person who looked like Blitz. What parts of his body have formed are completely human because he thinks of himself as slowly becoming a human. The fact that he's a male human is entirely because he saw himself as more male than female, he could have become either since as a spirit he was genderless. He's not a dragon because he doesn't subconsciously think of himself as a dragon.

I'm pretty sure this'll be the equivalent of Order of the Pheonix. Book 9 and 10 will be taking place on Penumbra island so there won't be the need to introduce a new island and characters. Book 9 and 10 are almost going to be one huge book cut into two parts with an epilogue at the end.

Magic's nature is pretty changeable. Sometimes it feels liquid or intangible, but it can also be a solid with weight and mass. She makes them solid the same way Raven can make red magic into a solid sharp sword.
