Hmmm... Well, since it would be my favourite novel I would like to think that I would still read as much as I do. However, too much of a good thing sometimes becomes boring - so I would probably end up not reading as much.

Girl in the Arena by Lise Haines. It's such an amazing concept and yet I never hear a lot about it from other people.

No, but that's because I'm going to BEA! I love what ArmchairBEA offers for people who aren't able to make it themselves to the expo, though. If I wasn't going I would definitely participate. I would want photos of the floor, streaming video of interviews, and a glimpse into just about everything!

Not really a fan. I love the font used and the colours, but it seems too manga (and well done fan made) to me and it doesn't scream Celaena Sardothien to me either (I read the original story years ago when it was on fictionpress). I'm definitely a bigger fan of the North American cover.

I have to choose just one?

Ooooh, that's such a great novel! I love the classic literary references in it!
I'm reading The Summer My Life Began by Shannon Greenland. It's really good so far - but I'm not very far into it. -
Reading. I have been seriously lacking in the networking time lately and doing just what I have to for blogging. I've been a bit of a bad blogger - but I've just been so busy!

Introverted. I hate bugs, I'm sensitive to the sun, and I just like to sit and read! However, I did just buy a shiny new bike and I hope to get outside more this summer.

The Assassin and the Underworld - a Throne of Glass novella by Sarah J. Maas. And then... we'll see what I pick up!

NO! But it's sitting all pretty on my shelf waiting to be read!

The Percy Jackson series is AMAZING and from a guy's POV. I'm trying to think of other books (other than Harry Potter) and am coming up blank. I know Hannah Moskowitz's Invincible Summer is a guy MC and so does Beastly by Alex Flinn... but that's it. Wow, am I a bad reader or what! lol.

9-5 Tuesday and Wednesday, but 9-3 on Thursday. However, people start getting to the exhibit hall earlier than 9 (say at, oh, about 7ish) since the line for ticketed authors opens then.
But keep in mind that there are concurrent events going on - like the Teen Author Carnival - that happen after BEA and somewhere else in the city. I think Book of Wonder has a signing one night too.
A lot of stuff is on the BEA website, but other stuff you just have to ask around about. -
Batman - Super wealthy George Clooney looking guy without super powers but lots of fun stuff like the BatMobile? Yes please!

Depends on the artist. With some I love listening to the entire album. Others I only like one or two songs.

I keep the ones that are signed or that I liked (but not enough to purchase finished copy). I giveaway the ones that I either didn't enjoy, never got around to reading, or bought finished copies of. Sadly, I can't donate my ARCs to my library since they're not allowed to loan them out.

Turn over and go back to sleep.

It doesn't bother me so long as the second hand books are in good condition. I love supporting independent used book stores and the people who run them are almost always amazing! Plus, I love not having to pay full price for a novel!

Choosing a favourite author is like choosing a favourite book - nearly impossible to decide. So on this one I'm copping out and not answering! ;)

Ok, you are going to encounter people who will be wearing everything from suits to sweats. However, you probably will want to be at least dressed business casual.
Remember that this is a professional event and you're going to be making connections to people from the publishing houses that you love. You want to make a great impression on them - so no jeans. You don't have to go all out in a suit, but a nice pair of dress pants or khakis, a skirt or a even dress would be fine. If you want to wear jeans, go with a dressier pair and not the 'trendy' styles with rips and super fading.
But in the end, wear something that makes you feel confident. It can be hard walking up to complete strangers and starting a conversation with them, so if you feel good it's a little easier!
Also, make sure that you wear comfortable shoes - like running shoes - because your feet are going to KILL by the end of the day! I made that mistake last year and oh boy did I regret it! -
Sometimes you can fit in more than one signing at the same time. Usually this is only going to happen a few ways.
1. You go to a mass-booth signing. HarperCollins has a few planned and last year you got in line and went by every author at the table. You don't need to get a book from each author, but it's even nice just to say hello to those you don't.
2. If you're the very first (or within the first few) for a line. This means you'll be through and out really fast and can go onto the next signing. If you want to go this way, more than likely you're going to have to plan to get into line about 30 minutes+ before the actual signing starts.
3. Usually this one is only going to apply to Thursday when the traffic is less, but shorter lines mean you're able to ge through more lines in the same hour.
4. If you're in a long line and see a short line for another book you want, make friends with the people around you and ask nicely if they'll watch your bag/spot/whatever so you can quickly jump in the other line and get back to your original one. Chances are that your line buddy might ask the same things of you.
Have fun this year! The first year is always the most intense until you find the groove!
