Well that depends on what kind of volunteer you want to be. You can volunteer on your own and participate in the campaigns by yourself, with friends, or with your local chapter. OR you could apply for our volunteer staff. Joining staff means finding a team that fits you - video, engagement, admin, website, etc. You need to commit to about 15 hours/week. Our staff ranges in age from 14-late 30s. We are always looking for fresh skills, so please email jobs@thehpalliance.org for more info!

It is a collaborative effort between our Senior Staff, who always seek approval from our Board before launching any campaign.

That's exactly our line of thinking! For example, until the Body Bind Horcrux is defeated, people will continue to suffer from poor body image. Members of the LGBTQ community will continued to be bullied by peers, strangers, and government officials until the Bullying Horcrux is defeated.

Excellent question! Our entire organization is a real world representation of Dumbledore's Army. We rely on using analogies between the books and the real world to encourage activism in fighting evil. The horcruxes provided an obvious analogy for fighting evil in the real world. Our horcruxes do not correlate to the symbols from the books (ring, locket, etc), but are representative of actual real world evil.

It is kind of a collaborative process. No ceremonial aspects, senior staff and the board all come together to agree on things.
