I take it to mean that more does not always equate to better and that one should be appreciative and grateful for what they do have as others will have far less.

I've never really thought about it, but I could believe that.

Hopefully, I will be soon starting an internship/volunteer position where I will be teaching poetry, leading a writing group and teaching basic computer skills to the mentally ill.

I have volunteered a lot in my life. I have volunteered with Department of Child Support Enforcement., Arlington Housing corporation, Council for Exceptional Children, Arlington County Public schools, and Mental Health America.
