Who's the best Dr. Who companion?
I can only comment on companions from 2005 and on.
I have to preface this by saying I was actually a REALLY big Rose fan. I think I'm in the minority here, but whatever. Rose ftw (except for all of the terrible back-from-the-metaphorical-dead shit they put her through. That was such a waste).
The BEST companion would have to be Donna, though.
Yes, she was selfish, abrasive, LOUD AS A MOTHERFUGGER, and annoying to begin with, but this is part of the charm. She and the Doctor were good for each other. He made her a better, well rounded person, and she made him more human and kept him from falling over the edge.
Donna is the only companion that doesn't pull the "LUV ME, DR!!!!11one!!1!eleven!1!!" card. A most welcome relief.
Where Rose is the obvious romantic interest and Martha is the rebound, Donna is the best friend. Their adventures are worth watching and believing in, and when the whole DoctorDonna business goes down... well, no spoilers.
Donna, fo' sho.
JUST KIDDING. It's fucking Wilfred, OBVIOUSLY.

Sugar, enriched flour, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, polysorbate 60, and yellow dye #5. Everything a growing boy needs.

What are things that you should NOT tell your parents?
"I'm thinking I'd be really great at exotic dancing, Dad."
-
How did you celebrate your most recent birthday?
I rented a cabin on the Russian River, hiked the redwoods, and soaked in the hottub with friends.

HELL YEAH.
At this point, I'm so far into the storyline that there's no backing out now. I don't care if Connor's an American assassin. And I don't give a shit if it's teaming with underlying 'Murrican themes, history or what have you. (In all fairness, the first one was heavy on Middle Eastern culture, history, etc. And don't even get me started on how Italian II, Brotherhood, and Revelations was.) Let's go AC3!
BRING IT THE FUCK ON! -
I've never actually *seen* it. I've experienced it though.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "Not at all" and 10 being "This is the worst calamity to ever befall man," how bummed are you that Dan Harmon got canned from Community?
(OKAY SO I CANT BE ON FORMSPRING BECAUSE I SHOULD BE STUDYING FOR FINALS AND EVERYTHING BUT I SAW THIS QUESTION AND I JUST HAVE TO ANSWER IT)
100000000000000000000000000000000000000
:[ :[ :[
Community is just not going to be the same without Harmon manning the ship as showrunner. It doesn't matter how good these new guys are or how much I want to be open to how they run things; I will always be aware that it's not Dan Harmon and I will automatically judge and compare the show because of that. Ugh, not to mention two of Community's best people have already left, and Chris McKenna is leaving now too and and and
*GROSS SOBBING*
DAMN YOU, SONY, BLAKSDFJWALK
I CRIED DURING THE SEASON 3 FINALE OKAY

Okay, I'm good. Back to studying. -

CAN'T YOU SEE THAT @horseebooks AND I SHARE A COLOURFUL BOND - A BOND THAT STRETCHES OUT TO SARAH JESSICA PARKER - A BOND OF LONG-FACED LIKENESS.
(And suddenly, all the ROLFs, in a singular helicopter, fall from the hilarity.) -

It sucks. Really bad. If you've ever read interviews with him, it's very clear that he basically would ignore the shit out of whatever the network demanded and did it his way to stay true to his creation. It takes some balls to do that and be able to get away with it on a show that's constantly on the brink of cancellation.
But ultimately, I think it was the spat with Chevy that did him in. I don't really know what the fuck happened, but I know that Dan wasn't exactly super classy about it (calling out Chevy in front of his family, playing the profanity-laden voicemail in front of a bunch of friends and family and laughing about it). I think that was enough for the network to push him out.
Even if somehow the show sucks in season 4, I think the season 3 finale was a wonderful and perfect way to pretend the show ended! -
"Intelligent girls are more depressed because they know what the world is really like." Agree/Disagree?
Just intelligent girls? Did tumblr tell you this? tumblr tells us the world is populated by sad girls in cut off jean shorts and whimsical sundresses shot in black and white in front of an abandoned factory or in a field of poppies, looking pensive and/or bored and/or sad with a caption like "It kills me that the things you will never remember are the things I can never forget." And Harry Potter, Twilight, or True Blood. Or pron.
But, uhm, both genders -- there is a weakness that if you already have an emotional disorder, your own creativity can sort of turn against you because you become an expert at creating rationales to legitimize your depression and anxiety. At least that's what my therapist told me. They have tried to show a correlation between bipolar and genius, but it's not conclusive. There are a disproportionate numbers of poets, playwrights, painters, sculptors, etc. with mood disorders. Poets and playwrights are the worst. I'm both. Ha. -
