Thanks! There's no spiritual connection but those times, his people and his battles are important to keep alive.
Our first performance as THITH came a rather boring professional route. But our first shows in NY came through friends and their bands asking us to play with them. -
J says: Alasdair Gray "Lanark". S. Beckett, "Trilogy". "Cloud Atlas," David Mitchell. David Markson, "Wittgentien's Mistress"... You can't go wrong with Cervantes.
E adds: I'm reading "Wuthering Heights" at the moment. -
We played at La Route Du Rock in St. Malo this summer and loved it!
Sorry to say I don't have tab written out. Will tell you it's capoed at the 4th fret. -
it's actually a guitar pitched down and compressed to pieces.

They're not an influence but we have heard that before. Thanks!
-
We're excited and anxious! can't wait for people to hear it!

THANKS!!
yeah... y'know, it get kind of absurd sometimes because the list of what we like and listen to just gets longer and longer. but a big thing for us on the LP was playing with RN'B and hip hop production. Deep kicks and bass lines with tight high lines on top... Mutant Rn'B we're calling it.
Here's 2 recent mixes we made of a bunch of stuff we love:

Hmmmm' you know, since we've been on tour we haven't heard a lot of things but we were stoked on the new PVT record and we're still loving the Virgo reissue LP we got a couple months ago... http://thehundredinthehands.com/pvt-church-with-no-magic/ http://thehundredinthehands.com/detroitvirgo/
The show we played with Dum Dum girls reminded us how much we love them...
and also looking forward to hearing more of this Factory Floor band we picked up at Rough Trade http://thehundredinthehands.com/hard-times-on-the-factory-floor/ -
wow really? I love Patti and have seen her live and she's got a lot of moves that I couldn't touch. But thank you. Don't think she is a direct influence but Gloria blows my mind every time i hear it. E

E: Yeah, some classical training. Opera & musicology.
J: Mostly playing along to records and such. -
They're actually not that big an influence for either of us although a number of people seem to hear them in what we do so there y'go... Newish electronic bands we do love are: Broadcast, Gavin Russum, Blondes, Hot Chip, Holy Ghost!, Gang Gang Dance, Kwes, Jacques Renault... Uh, there's loads more but I'm blanking...
