Well, you could mount either a waist-level viewfinder (which I use, no lightmeter), or a prism viewfinder, with a TTL light meter installed inside.
At first, I used to use my DSLR as a ghetto lightmeter :p, but now that I have the experience, I use the Sunny 16 rule (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunny_16_rule) to measure the exposure, and a bit of luck! -
For the Kiev 88, Pentacon Six, and the Holga, I don't.
As for the Nikon FM10, and the Bessa R2M, both cameras come with a light meter in the viewfinder. :o -
I actually just got a Bessa R2M last month, the only difference between it and the R3M, beside the viewfinder, is the framing inside. The framelines in the R2M are 35, 50, 75 & 90mm, which suits me well. Whereas the R2M has 40, 50, 75 & 90mm.
I can't quite say since I've only used my rangefinder once, but I quite like the compact feel. It's definitely going to be my go-to camera for light photoshoots. :D -
Unfortunately, no. :( I still haven't got the proper chemicals yet. Perhaps some day, who knows!

We don't have film here either. I get them all online from either Amazon, or Lomography. God bless the internet!
Like coffee? I have enough coffee in my bloodstream to open a new Starbucks.. so that's a yes. -
Why thank you! *VIRTUAL EPIC HIGHFIVE*
I prefer shooting with 120mm, even through the 35 offers more frames. I just love the 6x6 format. As to my favorite films, so far I've enjoyed using: Kodak Portra (160 and 400), Fujicolor NPS 160, Rollei Digibase 200, and Kodak Ektachrome cross-processed. As for the 35mm's: Agfacolor and Klick Max 200 remains my favorites.
Cool avatar btw! If you have any online portfolio, I'd love to see your photographs! -
That's a tough one. I love all my cameras, but lately I've been more comfortable shooting with a Kiev 88. I have to say, it was a bit of a challenge getting used to focusing with a waist-level finder at first, but just like any other film camera, it just needs time and practice. AND OH MY GOD I HAVE A FAN FROM THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF MAURITIUS :O ? Why do I feel all warm and fuzzy inside? ;')

The internet, obviously.
-
It's my pleasure! And good luck. :-)

About every photo-lab in Kuwait. They usually carry either Kodak Gold, or Fuji color.
-
My pleasure. :)

Since Boushihri can only develop C-41 films, your slide films are gonna have to be cross processed. If you're okay with it, then why not!
Whenever you upload them online in the near future, let me know. ;) -
That's like the worst film you could ever use with a toy camera. I've tried two rolls, and absolutely hated it.
160 ISO ---> Oh-my-god-I-think-I'm-getting-a-sunstroke kind of days.
200 ISO--> Sunny days/outdoors.
400 ISO--> Cloudy days/Indoors (if there's enough light)
800 ISO --> Indoors
If you have an online portfolio, I'd like to see! :D -
Taping the back of the camera would only prevent unwanted light-leaks. Meaning those cool reddish spot you'd sometimes get on your pictures. I personally never tape the back of my Holga, and would still never get light leaks, which sucks.
Now, what I get from your question is that your pictures are coming out underexposed? Meaning almost black? If so, you need to pay attention to some few things before taking pictures:
1)The ISO of the film.
2)The aperture/shutter button on your Holga. Choose the cloud one if your pictures aren't getting enough light.
3) How lit the subject is.
Do you mind if I ask how would you describe your level of experience with film/photography in general? 3ashan akhaf I explain things you already know, and make an idiot of myself. :p -
Min 9ijich 3adi! :D It's always a pleasure to help a fellow photographer.
I do get my films online. Usually from the Lomo online store, since they have pretty much everything I need. Plus, I'm a sucker for expired film. :p
Digital cameras: Aside from the point and shoot cameras, I have a Canon Rebel Xsi as a primary DSLR.
Film Cameras: Nikon FM10, Holga CFN 120, Kiev 88, Polaroid EE-66, and an Olympia Dl2000a. I'm thinking about getting a rangefinder enshalla. Most likely a Bessa R3M. (The poor man's Leica lol). -
Oh, they still do! If you need their number, let me know. :)
I scan the negative strips using a negative scanner. Never have my them printed. Just developed, and then I take care of the rest.
I currently use a Canoscan 8800F. -
Why yes I am a Kuwaiti. :)
Unfortunately, I do not have the equipment, yet, to develop film at home, so I drop my 120mm's at the Boushihri lab in Salmeya. They do the job alright. ;) However, they do only develop C-41 films. For B&W's, you might want to check Ashkanani's photolab, which is near Boushihri, and in Salmeya as well. -
Made one, deactivated it after 30 minutes. Cannot handle the iTunes shame. I just can't.
