Hmm, good question; not sure how to answer this but I'll try. They've probably had enough experience with humans by this point that they've figured out how to communicate more or less effectively, weirdnesses aside, but they might use rather odd forms of communication. Perhaps they can't speak, but project thoughts telepathically - or perhaps they've worked out a system of communication that only certain people trained to understand it can comprehend. Also, as an example of "eldritch gods communicating with humans," I recommend looking into the Prophets in Star Trek: Deep Space 9. They communicate effectively enough, but they're very... strange. Just watching the first episode of the series should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Try the regular plot punter (or any other plot punter you think might suit the atmosphere of the story); the only difference between a romance plot and a non-romance plot is that the former happens to characters who happen to be in a relationship.

Hmmmm, I don't really feel that the amount of disabilities a character has is inversely proportionate to how Sue-ful a character is; after all, many Sue-ful characters are disabled up the wazoo. (Look up 'Too Good For This Sinful Earth' and 'The Rainman' on TVTropes.) What's important is whether their disabilities are portrayed accurately.

I will if I can think of any more. As it is, one thing I do with that generator to create more unique ideas than otherwise is to look at all of the seemingly-disparate powers and figure out how they work together. For example, one guy has the power to control arachnids and fly. Instead of giving him a straight-out flight ability, I had him use a glider he manipulated spiders into weaving for him.
