I don't remember when we became ... friends ... but I do remember that in the 16th century, he wanted me to join forces with him against France, but I ended up signing a peace treaty with France. However, England still kept bugging me and trying to get close to me for some reason. >_> I don't know. He's weird.

*sighs* Then during the French Revolution, France decided to invade my home and invited himself in my home to stay, threatening me if I rebelled. I called for help from everyone else I knew...and Arthur was the only one who responded and helped me... *pauses, feeling a little touched from the recollection* B-But that's probably because he wanted to beat up France, as always. Though, he did send all help possible, claiming that he didn't like France's treatment of me.

But then, France occupied my land again because he believed I was "the heart of English smuggling" and he imposed a complete blockade upon me, causing my economy to sink. When this happened, England had a fit and changed his mind about agreeing with France, and he helped remove France from my home yet again. Britain made sure that I be treated fairly and with respect, telling other nations to acknowledge my neutrality. That was kind of a nice thing I guess, but I could've done it myself. Whenever Prussia, Austria, and France threatened to invade me, Britain was always there to stop them from doing so. I actually owe my life to him, now that I think about it. But I was getting quite annoyed with him at the time because I hated having to constantly rely on him rather than myself, and I doubt he liked that too.

And so, our friendship went spiraling down for a while, despite the fact that I made my national anthem sound like his after he saved me from a Prussian invasion. He and I grew very tense and wary of one another. Britain disapproved of many of my plans and regulations like all the other nations did, and so he started referring to me as a "she." I mean, right now I am one..........but that's because something happened to me >_>

But things started picking up again between the two of us...for the better. *stops for a bit to think of more memories*
