I"ve had more broken bones than scars. From Top to bottom:
Broken Cheekbone - got punched
Broken collarbone - Dumb Skateboard accident
Broken ribs - Fell off a building (!), tackle football.
Broken arm - Fell off same building
Broken finger - punched someone
Broken toes - Early moning groggyness and walking into stuff.

The answer will probably end up making itself apparent to the observant reader as the story goes on.

Actually they do. Max himself doesn't play, tho he does take an interest in the games. RCSI fields it's team against the other neighborhood teams, just like anyone else.

The big game tho, is an annual event, where RCSI goes up against the Leystone Football Club. It's a friendly, but very fierce game. Leystone's team roster tends to heavily (pun intended) favor trolls and ogres in it's lineup.

Ruby also takes an active interest in the game, tho her activities tend to be more on the extra curricular side. (See the Streak)
