We usually coach our couples with their timelines to plan their ceremony when the sun is already on it's downward trek toward the horizon. But other than that, we try to shoot from angles where the sun is to the side or back of our couples.

for post wedding sales (like prints, albums, etc) we change it individually. currently for our wedding collections we charge it on the package total as we have been advised to do by our state sales tax office officials... however we're working toward structuring out packages in such a way that we will no longer have to do this. *fingers crossed*

Becka has been full time since the beginning but the leap for Nate to leave his full time position was scary. For us, we set a goal to book a specific amount of weddings so we knew we'd be able to generate enough income, then we made the jump.
-
We hardly ever use ASE now-a-days. So I guess the answer would be just a very select few every now and then.

when we are done with a wedding we upload it to zenfolio for proofing and then store it on our hard drive as well. until then, we keep it on our internal hard drive which is backed up to another internal hard drive in our mac pro, and then move the RAW files to a portable hard drive that travels with us. after we return the images, we keep the Lightroom catalog and only save the RAWs for the files we kept and delete all of the unrated files (basically after we know our couples are happy).
we're definitely interested in an online backup, but so far nothing is fast enough to upload a wedding in a reasonable amount of time. -
two or three lights off camera is plenty for us. We keep a flash on camera (canon 580) and shoot with vivitar 285HV flashes off camera. they are cheap, bright, and have a fast recycle time. you shoot into them or away from them depending on how close you are, what type of image you want, and whether or not you use on camera flash for fill lighting.

about 600 color corrected, then Becka does a little more to 150-200 of the favorites. so all in all about 700-800.

this reminds me of when i first got my iPhone 5 or so years ago. i wouldn't' let it out of my sight, i wouldn't let people hold it, i wouldn't set it down without a case. Now, years later, i pretty much chuck it across the room with no case the minute i walk through the door.
When you get your "L" first lens, it's always got front and rear caps on it, it's got a filter on it and you always hold it with two hands. you'll get used to it. don't over think it. take care of it and it will take care of you. Just use it like you need to. leave it on, take it off, whatever suits you. just enjoy it. -
sometimes we use bounce cards or lumiquest pocket diffusers, but we generally bounce when we can and shoot with triggered off-camera flashes.

No thoughts on changing it at the moment. If you're on a Mac, try "Command +" to make the font bigger. if not, go to your view menu and choose "zoom" to change the font size on any browser.

35mm for Nate, 50mm for becka

I do like them. I find that they look best on naturally lit photos but that may just be a personal preference. I tend to favor the Fuji ones in the mix but we're still experimenting.
-
We love the 100mm 2.8, haven't upgraded to the "L" yet

The only TRA action we use on every single blog photo is Sharpen For Web. Otherwise we use them selectively based on what we think a particular photo might need. We also use other editing presets and actions that we've either made or purchased over the years so it's all a bit of a mix. :)

We stayed in town and visited with family. Becka made a bunch of cookies and we played it pretty mellow. :)

We return the biggest full Rez images to our clients. Scaling them down isn't worth the risk. And 8x10 at 125 is going to make an ugly 8x10. We want our clients to LOVE what they get back and show everyone they know their awesome photos. Why would you want to restrict their printing if you are returning digital files?

our pricing is as simple as we can make it. we have two packages for weddings, both of them include us, a dvd, an engagement session. the only difference is how long you need coverage for. everything else is a la carte
