-dying- STOP IT! TOO FUNNY!
-
Wow, you're needy! Ha Ha!
I suppose they're all favorite artists, but you asked me to name my top six. Not all of those bands/artists would end up in my top six. If it would help... If I had to finalize a top 6 it would be something like this:
AM Taxi
State and Madison
Treaty of Paris
Lucky Boys Confusion
Ha Ha Tonka
Ludo
Depending on the day, those are my top six favorite bands. -
First things first. You should know that I have several favorite bands. And favorite songs (lyrically) are completely different from favorite bands. So I will give you 12 of my favorite songs. Some by my favorite artist/ band, some not.
In no particular order:
AM Taxi
Song: Maydays and Rosaries
Lyric: "I don't think about you that much anyways, I wouldn't even know what to say. That don't mean that you shouldn't call if you feel like it at all. Love to hear your voice, I'd love to hear your voice."
Song: Reckless Ways
Lyric: " Save me from the truth I can't erase cause I can't give it up no..."
State and Madison
Song: She ain't alone
Lyric: "and all she needs is love, a hand to lift her up"
Song: Suggestion
Lyric: "So I have a suggestion, if only one. Let's live for the summer..."
Lucky Boys Confusion
Song: Cigarettes
Lyric: "If I could just shut up we could get down, pretend we're the only ones allowed in this town..."
Treaty of Paris
Song: Rollerskates
Lyric: "To all my friends I hope that every word I wrote finds you, well you know I loved you all along..."
Song: Currents
Lyric: "Today you are an ocean, today your currents are strong, so let the waves be your saving grace and bring you to where you belong."
Last Fast Action
Song: Divide Us
Lyric: "You say they won't divide us I don't believe it. Not everyone is like us."
Song: You Need to Know
Lyric: "I'm always waiting on my own, you're always holding on you need to know we're done."
Kevin Andrew Prchal
Song: Peace not war
Lyric: "Its easy to watch until it knocks on your door singing we want peace not war..."
Ludo
Song: Part IV: Morning in May
Lyric: "I've been waiting for so long, to touch you and sleep in your eyes and now as my hearts beating so hard, I hold on and keep you at home in my arms."
Song: Mutiny Below
Lyric: "I finally let go and learned to live without you after all those weeks alone but now you're back for more I'm trying to fight it off but there's a mutiny below"
Just 12 songs that I really enjoy. This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. I just find myself constantly singing these songs and getting the chills no matter how many times I've listened to them. -
wow. What an awful question. I would have to say, AM Taxi, Treaty of Paris, and Last Fast Action. LFA would have to play Hey Luv. It would have to be just like January 9th. Cause that's honestly the best concert I've ever been to. If the Make-a-wish foundation could get all my friends there, and all those bands... for me, I'd be able to die a happy girl.

I thought you'd never ask!
It's hard to narrow down just A weakness, so I'll list. Because when all else fails, you should list. (sorry I am very sleep deprived)
My weaknesses (in no particular order):
A good thin, pale, dark haired, talented guitarist, with vocals to boot! (just off the top of my head)
I'm a sucker when it comes to animals. ULTIMATE WEAKNESS!
Friends are definitely a big weakness also. I've been known to jump through hoops for friends. Cause I <3 dem.
Harmonica.
Gang vocals.
A sweet Bass-line.
Lots of sweet tambourine.
Chicago. <3 -
..........<---That was me telling you "your cat is on fire in the forest" in sign language.
-
I just looked in there. As stuff accumulates it gets pretty weird in my bag, but I recently cleaned that all out. Right now the most unique thing in there is a box of Tums. Like the antacid. I have acid reflux and carry them with me now. Sorry to be so boring.
-
Hah, nice try! Right now it's a pic of butterflies and flowers that I took at work. Usually though I have a picture of the love of my life.
-
It's quite possible that the number of friends you have is directly related to the amount of hairs on your face.
-
No, I'm nodding my head like ya. Not too sure how to shake my hips like ya, yet.
-
Well first and foremost, I hate this question!
This is only my third year in the local scene and after attending hundreds and hundreds of shows its damn near impossible to pick a favorite! I love so many bands for so many different reasons!!!
The locals that I first fell in love with were State and Madison. They're great guys and play with every fiber of their being! They put their hearts and souls into their music and as a music lover there's not much else I could ask for.
Cavashawn are some good friends of mine and were my first band 'friends'. They've done a lot of great things for not just me, but my friends., and the scene. I give them a lot of shit sometimes, but they really are fantastic guys/musicians.
Treaty of Paris- Everyone knows these guys! (again) great guys, talented, and passionate! Their lyrics tend to hit home more than any other band and I thoroughly love that about them!
Lucky Boys Confusion- The music is so much fun! The guys are veterans to the scene! They may have some questionable fans, but they are one of the ONLY bands I'd drive 3 hours (on a whim) in a blizzard for! Their music doesn't get old and crosses genres and goes back again!
AM Taxi- Honestly THE best thing to happen to the Chicago scene! The music is so amazing and the live shows are spectacular!
I could go on and on about bands there are so many more! I <3 locals! I hope this helped you. It kills me to have to narrow down my favorites... bottom line is, Chicago has the best local scene!!! -
I read this wrong at first. I thought it said: "why are you giving the skink eye" Which is funny cause my facebook picture is of me and my pet skink. Anyways, that's just my attitude face.

Maybe I'll make one. Maybe I should finish writing first.
