Hi dear! My surgery was done using the stitching method. I requested for parallel, but due to the shape of my eye, I was told by the surgeon that my parallel eyelids might drop down a little and look like tapered eyelids in a few years time (: Hope this helps!! (:

Hii! I think 9mm is fine! I don't think I'm the right person to turn to for advices but if this helps, mine is 7mm!! HAHA! Maybe you can ask your surgeon for advices during the consultation? I believe he/she will know what type of double eyelids suit you best! All the best! (:
